I really like the Last Chance and the Peace Maker, but the Peace Maker should have that hilt. I really like the hilt on the handle. Can you tell us more about the steel? Your website looks pretty cool.
Hurry up with those pictures. You should put your own forum on it.:D

Nice lookin blades. But I'll stick to the originals though. In other words... Busse Combat. C'mon now. I know that there are only so many designs that can be had. And I don't have any problems with someone taking a few ideas and adding their own flare. But these knives look like someone drew a picture of a Busse from memory and gave it to a knife maker and said "make me this". Good lookin. But like I said. I'll stick to the real deal.

The one "reputable" review is by a guy who will say anything for "free" knives. So that doesn't impress me. You're talking about someone who promotes TOPS. C'mon, how crappy can a knife get? I'd rather pull out a United Cutlery piece. My eyes work just fine. I can see all sorts of "influences" in other knives and understand that is one of the things that drives others to create their own variation. I also understand that there are only so many blade shapes and designs that work. I mean you wouldn't put a square tip on a knife just to be different, your knife would suck. I understand that the Busse design is a proven one so that might lead a maker to pattern their work from the basic design. BUT ARE YOU BLIND? Those things are almost identical copies. I swear someone took a steel heart II reground some of the features and used different handle screws. I think I will order all of Busses left over student knives slap my own handles one them and star my own knife company. What do you think? I can call it "No really, I really designed these knives myself Knife Company, No... Really... I did.". Please. You wanna test them. Let's go edge to edge. Let's see who has the more jacked up knife afterwards. Don't matter how much it chops. Is it better than my knife? I doubt it. And you know it. That's why you got upset. I can't wait to see what kinda crap this starts. I love drama. But the best thing to do would just be to ignore me right? Yeah that's probably for the best. That's what the gentleman would do. Especially one who knows I'm right. Buy inferior gear... do inferior work.

Don't worry about that RYU guy folks. Most everyone knows he's a shill and a troll. His dishonorable and misinformed allegations about people and gear are legendary. A good example is his meagre collection shown under "mygear" and the flamboyant blade he has for sale. Both are indicators of the fantasy land he lives in. Once he grows up he may broaden his horizons and become a contributing member of this body. Until that time his opinion is simply the whining of an adolecent looking for his voice and an identity.

Ron

You guys make me laugh. I got exactly what I wanted a lot of posturing from bored old men who have had their pride damaged. I'm happy now. And I'll let it go since i got the reaction I wanted.

Ron... You still making those camping videos. Let me know where to order them. I had lost my Boy Scout maual and don't know how to camp anymore. You crusty dried up GI Joe dudes crack me up. Living your life like "The War" is still going on. I know lots of active and retired Military folks and they are all well adjusted and great to hang around with. What happened to you? Listen up everyone, I am taking a video camera out in my back yard this weekend. I'm going to film myself building a fire with nothing but a match and some wood. And then I will show you how you can actually chop your own fire wood with an axe or large knife. And then... the joys of a hot dog roast. I'll be calling this my Wilderness survival video. Would anyone like to buy it for $39.99? I mean I'm not special forces or anything. But I think it's pretty good for my first run. Ron you're just still mad cause Busse wouldn't give you anymore free knives to put in your video. And they got tired of dealing with a shell shocked nut job like you. I see you've got friends here to back you up. I guess that's what you learned in the forces huh. Don't act a bad ass unless I got buddies to take up for me. Better get to cover... I hear them choppers a comin. LOL.

The knives look very nice. I cant wait until I can give the big one a go.

Ryu,
My friend, get a life. First I am not upset. Secondly from the looks of things you wouldnt know the true meaning of Drama if it jumped up and slapped you in your chubby face. Debating and fighting over the internet is not drama. I just cannot take anything you say with validity, you have been nowhere and have done nothing. I watched many months ago as you argued the point that Phil Hartsfield bead blasted hamons on his swords, that alone shows how smart you really are. I am now heading out on a 4 day trip to the woods so don't expect to hear from me anytime soon.

By the way what the hell is a "jacked up knife".

Hi Brian, It's been a few days since that bad boy landed in your hands and at least one of us out here in cyberland is anxiously waiting on your evaluation of the blade. Job requirements, home & car maintenance, wife & girlfriends (may they never meet ;) ), laundry & cooking, and all that other stuff can wait. Knives come first, right? Have ya beat this blade up badly yet and, if so, how did it work?

TIA, -- Greg --

Also a little Busse influence, although, it looked WAY more Busse in the pics than it does when you actually hold it, and has a different feel than a Busse, Simonich, TOPS, or Rinaldi.
Yeah, I popped off about them being variations of existing designs (referring to Busse), on the Busse forum, but now I regret that. The first pic really did give that impression, but seeing them from the side, something Trace said, and looking at Eric's avatar, I can really see what y'all are talking about.
Now I feel like an ass:footinmou

Still liking the handles, and wondering if they're CPM-3V...

Jeff, those fancy colours are a far cry from the pics that I usually see you in, where "GREEN" is usually the colour of choice. :D

Last i remember, you were holden a Greco LD, not a rope....

come down under and I will show you some long drops! yeeehaaa.

Oh well haven't heard the wife say NOT ANOTHER BIG KNIFE for awhile
me like.:D Especially the big one.
Now lets see $300.00US = $470.00 Canadian.+ shipping +taxes
Goin'hear NOT ANOTHER $500.00 KNIFE.

Keep up the good work I like that blade tip nice and heavy duty

Well, they look like fine knives and I am sure that they will cut like crazy. Like Trace said, nothing much new under the sun. When it comes to functional features it is hard to get too differant and still be usable. However, when it comes to pure design features, thats another story. I am bothered by the fact that the gaurd has the same squared off slant as Trace's knives.

Also, what is wrong with working in your garage or basement! Do you realize that 99% of the top makers in this industry work out of garages and basements. Are you trying to say that there is something wrong with our knives? Just what were you trying to say with that comment? I have seen plenty of fly by night makers who have set up 2000sqft shops. That does not make thier products anything special. What does it matter if you work on your back porch, your three car garage or a wharehouse full of snazy CnC toys. It is the end product that matters, that is all, not where you work. I would really like you to explain that comment! What it means in the end is that we do not have a building lease and equipment payments to build into the price of our knives.

Interesting discussion. I wonder what a truely "original" knife would look like?
And would I really want to carry that design??
There is something to be said for tried and true...

Parden me but I just don't get it . Why every time someone comes out with a good looking hardcore knife , someone has to say it looks just like Busse and it a rip off ( so to speak ) . Well for that fact half the damn knives made look like Loveless , Randall , Moran . Damn , just damn I guess I stepped in it again but , I for one see the difference and like um one hell of a lot now my only question is are they affordable for us poor white trash in Ga. ? I never claimed to be politicaly correct!!!!!!!!!!!!

Keep up the good work and send me some info. by e-mail if you would .Those Randall guys and gals just don't test one hard enough .:D

Just kidding Jeff , I love your articles and the testing you folks put the blades through in some ungodly enviroments.

Later,
Jerry

Can't wait to see and read them , Jeff .

I talked to Eric today , looking forward to the introduction of these in about a month . He seems to share my outlook on all this destruction testing . Great guy to talk to , I think his ear was hurting after our conversation ( I can be a little long winded when talking blade stuff ) .

Later,
Jerry

Damn Ryu , Loosen your shorts a little and cut down on the red meats . Also a little alcohol will help mellow you out . ;) :p :(

Come on you guys. When a dink like RYU tries to start a flame war just ignore him. This WAS an interesting thread. I think the site operator ought to refund this guys money and ban him myself.
