New MIM clip now available from CRK

Grabbed a sandblasted and a glass blasted. Can’t wait to finally try them out.

Tim did a Fb live video today with one on a Sebenza 21.
I’d imagine they work on anything that has the stamped clip.

Meh…. Ti is only $60 at several places or $18 on Ali express…

What’s the draw with MIM? With gun parts, it’s often considered a step down. Is there an advantage to MM with knife parts?

Not all MIM is created equal and CRK has been testing these for a long time.

The advantage is that these clips can be mass produced much faster and at much lower cost than if they were machined. Other than the above example of AliExpress slave labor clips, they are the cheapest replacement CRK clip on the market and to me, the most appealing.

These are Ti. Putting an AliExpress clip on a Sebenza would be like putting WalMart hubcaps on a Porsche.

Ti at a better price point. I get it. Thank you! Never even knew you could "MIM" with Ti, so I learned something new as well!

Are there any pictures of these on a knife? I have put the Lynch clips on both Sebenza 31 and Umnumzaan as the factory clips are just not great - hard to get over any pant material that is thicker than single layer pocket material, which in the winter is pretty much nothing I wear. Curious if these will be the same? They look neat.

Why didn’t CRK just add these to all the new knives? I mean one of the nicest and even some say #1 folding knives made and sell them with sub standard clips.

Don’t get me wrong I love my CRK’s but it sure would have went a long ways for the company to consider this a fix to the standard clip🤷🏼‍♂️

From what they said at SHOT show, they are going to be the standard on newly released knives. I think they may have said you can choose what clip you want.

I do not find the "old" clips substandard, with the exception of the first series of flat clips, which I love the look of, but find the standard "bent" clips totally functional, having used all manner of CRK and aftermarket clips...can't wait to try the new ones though!

What I mean by “substandard” is titanium scales and often with nice inlays, very nice steel blades and then a cheap steel clip….

For a $500+ plus knife to me anyways it seems a Ti clip should be standard.

But all 6 of mine have the subpar clips and they work fine. 😎
