New @ New Graham

Yeah, guess I just won't buy Benchmades anymore. I'm a Spyderco man anyway. And Kershaw has been moving up the list fast...

It's too bad though, no one else (that isn't a custom designer) makes a knife comparable to the Morpho...a real EDCable (theoretically..) bali.

Hmm. Well, I assume there's still some desirable Benchmades I've been wanting in stock...I've been meaning to pick up a switchback for years.

Well, in any case, why don't we at least write Benchmade and complain?

I think I'm going to buy more Spydercos. From New Graham. Sheesh.

My sentiments exactly.

Heck I order stuff just to get more band aids when I run out, or to bug Mary Beth with my goofy comments in that little box on the order form:D

I think I'll be due for something in the near future anyway, I'm almost out of band aids:rolleyes:

Keep doing what you're doing, and if Benchmade has a problem with that, oh well, their loss.

Apparently some dealers have complained to BM about me being a bastid

Maybe some of your customer could send an email to BM letting them know your not ????

And contact to send to?

MD - do you carry the Buck Stealth Mantis? I don't see it on your site...only found the normal Mantis. Thanks.

I used to be a big fan of Benchmade, but hearing how they have treated NG has really turned me off. I've bought all my Benchmades from New Graham and now it looks like my last also. I was going to get Rukus and a Skirmish now it looks like my money would be better spent on a different knife company.:thumbdn:

P.S. Maybe this info should be in another part of the Forum so the people that don't look here would know?

Folks, I'm not trying to cause a stink here. BM runs their business the way they see fit, and there is not much I can do about it. I just wanted folks to know why we will not see new products from BM in a timely manner. BM's policy is to ship new products to their dealers first (a policy I agree with). Although we placed the first order with BM for the Morpho (the item that prompted this discussion), it will be a long time before we have them. I just wanted our customers to understand that us not having them in a timely manner is not our fault (well, maybe to some extent as I don't like the taste of butt).
I don't want this to turn into some kind of grudge match between us, y'all and BM. BM makes excellent products, they have excellent designs, and some of the best customer service in the industry.
The bottom line is they run their company according to their policies and I run my according to mine. Conflicts like this occur in business frequently.
It is agravating, and frustrating, but does not matter a lot in the course of life.

It sucks that Benchmade would have such policies. I have to imagine that you're a high volume dealer, as knife dealers go. I have seen this in online cigar sales... one dealer I had bought from for years got their account pulled for selling a certain brand of cigars "too cheap" online, making all the dealers selling at m$rp look greedy, I guess. Not only can they not post their prices online any more now, they can't even post that they have them. I only figured this out while on the phone with him one day, glad I did because I'd been overpaying, lol. I think this happens when the classic dealer structure clashes with online sales, but companies that do this should probably consider that online sales aren't going away anytime soon. I'm thankful NGK is there for knives, because otherwise I'd be limited to what wal-mart carried :p

The waved Endura & Delica collector pieces have already shipped. Hopefully we will see the regular production pieces soon. We usually get an invoice several days before the items arrive, and have yet to be invoiced.
So....a little while longer. BTW the wave on these is excellent in my opinion. For me, it works better than Emersons original on his own knives.

Mike - in case my above post got missed, do you carry the Buck Stealth Mantis? If so, when do you expect for stock to arrive?
Thanks.

JSR, I spoke with Tom last night...he said they were backordered from our distributor last week. Will reorder Monday or Tuesday and hopefully have them in by the end of next week.

Well If you insist I'll keep buying Benchmades, just wait awile longer with ya. Beside I really do want a Rukus, and I'm not very good at holding a grudge anyway :D

Hi. Any clue when you'll have the spydeco waved enduras/delicas? Also, according to the spyderco forum, the zdp delicas are at golden and are shipping next week. Will these show upon the site or are they all preordered/spoken for? Thanks for your time.

Vassili, I believe what you want is in stock. It is marketed under the BlackHawk brand. Type in Crucible in the search box.
Hope that is what you want.
Will, we have them on order with Golden as well as several distributors. How many we will see initially is anybodys guess. There is a lot of interest in this model. I expect we have scores of request sitting in the computer, although we have not presold any since I am not sure how many we will see early.
If you have emailed us, you should get an email back once we have them.
We will get them on the site as soon as they arrive.
Tom, looking forward to seeing you there. Be sure to rest your arms before the flight....:D

Sure I know it is BH now, my questin was about Plane edge.
Did you add plane edge recently? I did not see it first time it appeared.

Thanks, Vassili.

Well, this is not much of a threat since I have never purchased any Benchmade knives, but if this is the way they are, to h@@@ with them. I have purchased from NGK before and will continue to do so. I will not be purchasing Benchmade from anyone.
