New/Recent Hinderer Scores Thread...a place to share and comment.

Beauty! Not sure which "weapon" inspires more fear of great bodily injury - the blade or the bead :)

Tip: For aesthetics, not sure if you are using a match on your cord but....a soldering iron (flat paddle tip) not only gives you a sealed slice but it gets rid of any black ring/white core look.
Just a thought. Looks Great !!

There's some cordage on the market with matched inner cord (not standard whiteish)...I've seen black, but may be other colors too.
 
Today is Production Wharnie Eve for me! It should be here when I get home from work tomorrow. Then I can slap on my smooth CF scale and Crusader handle nut and call it my own.

It's not even on an actual Hinderer (just my 560), but for something like your fieldtac you might want to consider something like what I use.

One day I'd like to get my hands on one of the steelflame horsehead beads, but that is a low priority at the moment. I've been off and on with lanyards, but for deep carry clips with back pocket carry and frequently gloves its almost a must. I had been using paracord, but didn't really like the way any of the stuff I had looked with the CF so I thought I'd stop by one of the local saddle shops and see what we could come up with. Skipping the details of the hour I spend BSing about knives, guns, holsters and the weather, I saw some of the materials they were using and really like how this looked. It's a little different, but if you want something that stands apart it is worth thinking about.

Thanks! Yeah it's just a simple stainless bead on a leather strap. It's nothing exotic, but it feels and looks utilitarian and outdoorsy than some of the paracord exotic bead options to me.
 
Today is pretty awesome for a Monday. First off I worked this weekend so today is more like Saturday for me..

I was expecting my first custom XM to arrive today, and I was not disappointed! My new (to me) 3.5" working finish spearpoint w/ sandblasted frame, blue-black scale, and blue standoffs is awesome! It will make a treasured addition to the stable and user rotation.

But wait, there's more! Rob graciously accommodated an ano request (squeezing it in between shows I might add) and so I sent them my wharnie last week, according to USPS it got to the Ranch this past Thursday (12 Sep). Based on Rob's estimated 3-4 day turnaround I wasn't expecting to see it back until this coming weekend at the earliest, but realistically not until early next week. Well, somehow it got ano'd and came home to me in today's mail! The only way this is possible is if they did the work the day it arrived or first thing the next day and then immediately mailed it off. Knowing how busy they are this is simply customer service par excellence! I defy anyone to find better support and caring with any other business!! Thanks to Rick, Rob, Lori and all at the Ranch!! Oh yeah, the bronze ano looks completely incredible as well ;) It takes an already awesome XM to another level!

AK - They are beautiful, love the spear point working finish. The Wharnie with bronze ano is incredible. I have a G10 Blu/black scale on one of my XM's, one of my favorites other than pond. Nice score and thanks for taking the time to share with us!
 
Wow! Just awesome az2ak. Great score. The spearpoint is my favorite grind by far. Congratulations and use it well my friend! And you know I love the bronze ano. You need a smooth bronze ano scale for that sucker! Haha.

Thanks guys! I'm pretty happy at the moment :D

These two are users for sure! A smooth bronze ano scale on the wharnie would look incredible, I think I have had one around here... ;)

I love the look of the smooth ano scales, but I just don't like the way they feel in hand for some reason. I would like to try a textured Ti scale if one were to pop up..
 
That would be a sweet setup for a wharnie. Textured bronze ano with bronze ano lock side. Make it happen mister. :)
 
Where are those other customs that were coming in today boys!? Quit hogging them and put up some pics!!!
