New/Recent Hinderer Scores Thread...a place to share and comment.

Damn nice score, Rubi.

If it had a flipper...just kidding, it's a very nice addition and is in excellent company along side the DLCs and Custom Slicer with unique blue bits.

I'm slowly feeding the XM24 Hinderer addiction. My new XM24 Ti.....Thanks to ep3wiz!

Dammit, Chem...you're going to own most every skinner possible if you keep this pace.

Like the bronze and the overall looks of the entire knife, it screams use me!

Thanks N2K! This skinner was an unexpected surprise! I am a huge fan of the working finish for edc and the skinner grind is my absolute favorite. The bronze iron ano in working finish with matching LBS and spacer screws just completes it. It is without a doubt my favorite Hinderer and will be carried and used every day! My others are going to be mighty lonely for a while....

If I had any extra pocket corners available I'd offer a loving new home for one of the others, but not a spare space as production XMs fill them all.

It's a sweet knife and I hope you keep us posted on how it serves your use over time.

Congrats, jon1all...very little beats getting lucky in a lotto.

It's a mixed bag of emotions as each name is called...I find myself more nervous after the drawing of about 8 names, then plateau and calm as the 15th (or so) name is called. I start thinking that once my shot at a custom has passed, that my father and nephew might enjoy a 3.5 and 3" so even if I score something I already own it would still have a pocket to carry it. Not to be read as if I'm done acquiring / hunting, nor am I really slowing either...just sharing a personal mini story about my lottery thoughts as names are drawn.

As of right now I'm not very fond of the basket (used to select winners) but I know someday I may completely change that feeling if she ever brings me and a custom together.

Congrats! Yes, winning a Lottery is a head spinning experience. Looks easy until it happens.

Funny, at the ECCKS.... Rick won a lottery (can't remember the knifemaker) He came back to the RHK table all blushed and frazzled, He's like
" OMG, I can't believe how stressful that was, I got up there and it was all a blur....what do I pick!! "
People got a kick watching the process. Poor Rick (He needed a hug when it was all over) :)

Thanks guys! :)

They ran the Monkey Muster Lottery a little different. When you first got there & registered they gave you a bag of poker chips marked with a number. Then you took your chips and deposited them into the slot next to each knife. So you could spread your chances around on several knives or go "all in" on a given knife if you so desired. Then they sent texts to the people whose number was drawn for each knife and then you went upstairs & paid for your knife.

I mostly went "all in" on the blue-black production 3.5" Spanto Flipper (I say mostly because I did throw a couple token chips in at this one killer custom with an Aggressor grind, green ano'd lockside & bronze clip, but I figured there would be a lot more competition for the customs, so I played heavy for a production and it paid off!).

Nice strategy.

Great story, and I totally know the feeling!

If I score something "new" I'll post it here. But I've got nada new, so I guess this is just a bump before page 2.

Ok boys...have a great day.
Guess it probably wouldn't matter if I told you that this knife was handed to me personally by the man himself....the Craigslist story was B.S. to prove a point......you guys wouldn't know quality if it smacked you up side the head...what's the deal ? you guys are just jerks....Ask Rick if its real....or maybe he's not real either....stop discouraging collectors with all the negativity.....I wasn't trying to sell you this knife, I was trying to show you one of the greatest knives ever made...and your VAST knowledge wouldn't even let you look at it........why ?

I wasn't going to post again but you are about to see the mods delete all your crap and hopefully you get booted off this site for being a troll. Rick Hinderer never handed you this knife, not a chance in a million years, he probably would have shoved it up your ass.

Adios, you won't be missed.

Get this back on track. Got a 3" Spanto Flipper today. It was black but threw my orange scale on it. Thanks Lone_Wolfe.

With it's larger brother.
