New/Recent Hinderer Scores Thread...a place to share and comment.

Get this back on track. Got a 3" Spanto Flipper today. It was black but threw my orange scale on it. Thanks Lone_Wolfe.

You're very welcome! Now all you need is a 24 Spanto. Great pic, BTW.

Here's my latest acquisition... production 3.5" Spanto Flipper 20CV with Battleship Gray G10 sand-blasted and blue ano'd lockside. :)

A kind LEO gave me a very nice trade...my first XM. Gen4 3.5 slicer grind, Duratech 20cv, pristine blade, stonewashed goodness.

Nothing fancy about it, other than the fact he used it to cut someone free from a car accident, so that's kinda cool. All in a day's work for an XM, I guess.

I've got a CF scale on the way, and that's the extent of the frippery (for now). :)

(I apologize for the CRK, but I got both of these on the same day, so my brain is still scrambled).

Congrats on the XM. Don't apologize for the CRK, many here own them and other fine knives. But the core here have preferences too.;)

^^ Totally! Both are great knives, and it seems like big fans of each often cross into both camps. I think the only real hostility pops in from a small but vocal minority. It must be tough getting both of those in the same day. I hope you have enough pockets! ;)

Blasphemy! Oh wait, I forget I have 3 CRK's myself.

Haha.

I'm a knife guy so I've got a couple CRKs. I gave many fine pieces a fair chance to win me over before setting on the XM as my reliable first choice EDC. Others needs and wants certainly differ, but I found what works for me.

Good Day,

I had a VERY good week. First, I found out some VERY good medical news, but this is a knife forums so I won't go into that. Second, I got my first Hinderer. It arrived on Monday while I was in Ohio, of all places. I wanted to stop by Shreve, but didn't want to invite myself. I got back last night to a very welcoming family and a very welcome package (to me, at least).

There is nothing I can say about this blade that hasn't already been said. It is very well done. The knife was with me all day at work and then the bead(s) arrived today. Like some other recent posters, two came in the package, along with the tool I ordered. Thank you Hinderer crew. I really like the copper and OD Green together. I'll keep my eyes out for the bronze ones as they and the standoffs become available again. But there is really no urgent need. This knife looks fantastic as it is.

A very hearty thank you to Rob and Rick who took my emails, and to all the folks on this forum who were the ones who ultimately convinced me to get this.

You've seen them before, but this one is mine- Forgive the mandatory pictures!

XM-18 3.5" OD Green

Edit: My flipper fingers is getting tired!

Vaisforloverss - I'm so happy that you got very good medical news first and most importantly! Secondly congrats on an outstanding XM 18 with great pictures to boot! It looks like it belongs in those pictures, almost like seeing a wild animal in its natural habitat. Enjoy my friend and welcome!
