New run of 48 Weasels, Hawthornes, DJ's, and IT's!

I reserved mine and couldn't be happier at how these turned out. Can't wait to see one in hand...

I'm really digging that rotten banana bone. Bone dye will always have variation, some more than other, but with this you'll never have 2 that are even remotely alike. It's a good thing I'm broke because I could go nuts buying these over and over. I'll just have to enjoy them vicariously through others' pictures.

Wow, just saw these finished for the first time. They look fantastic. Plus it looks like there's going to be a lot of really unique variation.

Just paid for my Rotten Banana Improved SFO and tan goat skin slip.
I think it said May 3rd(?), so looking forward to having a confirmation by next weekend.

Those wharncliffes were from 2014? Darn, that kind of kills my chance of finding one. That's a gorgeous piece.

Saw the notification that my 2-blade Improved Trapper arrived at my PO box. Not one to race to the post office for a package, but dang it! My box was full and the PO was closed by the time I got there. Monday is the day I guess now.

I know the feeling. I was supposed to get my first custom, a Jim Dunlop trapper, on Tuesday, but it was undeliverable (signature required), and couldn't make it to the PO until Friday. Rode my bike 4 miles against 35mph winds to get there (the ride home was fun though).

It reminds me of an old "Family Fued" clip (watch the Stupid Game Show Answers channel on Youtube - it's painfully hillarous). The question was "Name something you feel before you buy it". Obviously they're talking about food, but the guy's answer was "excited!" Wrong answer, but brilliantly right.

I got a TA Davison about a month ago and quite pleased with it. It was my very first custom folder. I picked up the antique amber jigged bone Improved Trapper today at the PO. Gosh.... this is a nice knife! I'm sort of glad I didn't get the stag 2-blade 48 and believe me I was doubting myself thinking they would sell out quickly. I just like jigged bone so much. I'm really taken by the 2-blade #48 and it's smaller than my usual #42's.

My feelings too. I wonder if maybe some patterns are easier to make? The fit and finish on my three seems a bit better than on other patterns.

I got my Hawthorne in yesterday and this thing is really really nice. So much to like, the scandi grind, shape of the blade, northwoods stamp on blade, scale left on blade and the liner and pins, are they nickel steel or steel? Haven't used enough for patina and dinged up to tell if it scratches easily like nickel will.

Well done knife and my first Northwoods. Keeper without a doubt.

Congrats, that is such a fantastic looking combination. The rustic look of the Burlap works so well with the scale left in the flats.

I really dropped the ball by missing it. I can only hope that I catch a Burlap on the exchange.

I received an email stating that my Rotten Banana should ship tomorrow.

Got my Hawthorne mammoth in last night. I did not expect the case hardening coloration on the swedge(?). Not the swedge but I don't know the right term. It's the part of the blade that has no grind.

Your talking about the forge scale left on the flats of the knife.
They are a byproduct of the heat treating, it is often removed by most folks after the blade is tempered.

Depending on the particular knife, I find it can add or detract t equal effect.
On the clip Hawthornes, I like it
