It's similar in properties to the Persion.

I've never been a fan of kris blades, and this is no exception, but it looks very well done.

I'd like to have one of these to open around sheeple. Then they'll be more than happy to stay quiet when I open my minigrip.

Also useful for sacrificing blonde virgins, if those are too abundant in your area.

And if so, out of curiosity, where is that?

It looks like a *duck*.....

does it make an "AFLAC" sound when it locks open? ;)

actually, i kinda' like it, i like "scary" looking knives, if it's sheeple-hostile, i like it :)

I noticed a framelock on their site the other day. That looks promising.

That was on my list as the ugliest knife ever made. I just hate the blade. It looks so wrong.

That's just me though :)

I don't think Spyderco has a framelock in their current lineup. I assume you are talking about the ATR with an integral compression lock?

Don't need a knife for that... I came with my own built-in tool...

Never you mind, I've got it covered.

I don't like this Kris. The blade looks nicely done, clean grinds from what I can see. However, I think the blade should be straight in line with the handle, and not canted forward like that. Otherwise, not only does it look silly, but you may as well have a drop point so that it'd at least be useful.

Oh, well....

Here's Spyderco's new framelock, but it hasn't been released yet.

Oh, and I just remembered, the Karambit is a framelock too.

Right you are AM, I forgot about the Volpe. THAT thing is so butt ugly and yet so commonly looking that my mind apparently choose to ignore it.

The stainless steel Cricket is a framelock.

That kris is a mess. the design looks mismatched, like it was put together from two other knives' spare parts.

If that is the Persian's handle, it's too short for my hand.

I'm not a big fan of it either, but it was made as part of the Spyderco ethnic designs. It is more of a collector piece I think. I love the handle though!

Holy cow, it looks like it sat on the dash of a car too long and melted..:D :D

The Kris is definitely not my cup of tea but I do like the the looks of the Volpe. More wood and less stainless on the handle would have improved the looks of the Volpe, imho.

I like the looks of the Volpe, a lot. Except that silly little dip in the spine of the blade. A straight line from the hole to the tip and that would be a beautiful knife. I can see why the dip is there, but I don't think it would add too much more control than just putting your index finger on the spine of the blade.

The little bug cutout on the reverse scale is kinda cool, but I don't like the clip.

The kris on the other hand just looks... useless. The blade sticks out weird from the handle.

Take the little dip out of the Volpe, and I'll buy one.
