oh no!?!!? a knife designed for real, hard use has a stiff lock? But how am I supposed to accidentally cut myself then?

And the maker(well, Mr. Stridre) has the audacity to kindly tell you a method to fix it? Shocking.

Yeah, definitely sounds like a problem

Lets just face facts Soon Strider Knives will be out of business and all of you will have very expensive paper weights!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

See you all at the NY Custom Knife show in Novemeber

You keep making claims without anything to back them up. Searched exact three words you requested, came up with 17 hits here, one being this thread, and good portion of others had nothing but good things to say.

Man I can't believe this useless troll discussion is still going.
Well I'm just trying out my new sig line so I'll go and play with my Strider folders now.

If Strider is best, why not describe to us his quality system? This would be to his advantage. I am proud of my firm's quality system and gladly tell people who ask.

I'll bite....what is your firms quality system.

Okay looking at searches on BladeForums in Titles only to cut down unnecessary and unpertaining results:

Search for "SnG Clip"

Results: 2 hits neither of which pertain to any problems.

Search for "SnG Problem"

Results: 1 hit pertaining to an SnG that had a stiff lock.

Search for "SnG Blade Play"

Results: 0 hits

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Looking at USN searches for same as above:

Search for "SnG Clip"

Results: 5 hits none of which pertain to any problems.

Search for "SnG Problem"

Results: 2 hits 1 does not pertain the other is a duplicate thread of the one BF for the SnG that with the stiff lock.

Search for "SnG Blade Play"

Results: 0 hits

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Hardly the "hundreds of threads" mentioning all sorts of problems as you stated above.

This is your undeniable evidence that Strider sucks? 1 post about a stiff lock! Dude your a joke.

Hmmm.....
the knife wizard has a whole six posts......what could that mean...hmmmm:rolleyes:

hmm.....i wonder how a wannabe like me could get a 'sweetheart' deal...hmmm....

Hmmmm.....i wonder if the CS blowgun has a ballsack chinrest and a one way 'blow-only' valve....hmmmm...

OK OK

I am sorry Mick and Duane.
Strider Knives is not a bad company. You guys are the best right now and I hope you stay on top for a long time!

I take back and retract all statements made here on Bladeforums/USN/Knifeforums and any and all e-mails sent to Mr. Strider and Duane Dryer.

With this post I am not going to tarnish or flame the Strider name/business/folders/knives/owners on any forum or in any public situation

I herby appologize to Mr. Mick Strider he is the bigger man here and he is right in every aspect.

I Gary Swenson/Jackboots/Jb2003/KnifeBomber
am sorry to all the forum members

I will never post here again.

It was wrong of me to say bad things about Strider knives.

Hell I was only joking with all of my posts. I got pissed off at Mick for not fixing my GB folder, I had to sell it and now am kicking myself and am jealous of those of you who are getting those new MARSOC folders.

I actually own several Striders a model WB10, EBLT, AR, and a Buck Strider

all serve me well, and all will be with me forever

I find Strider Knives to be of the highest quality and best design
no matter the price.

The very best part is the Strider guys will still take care of me and still shake my hand at Blade West, Blade in Atlanta and in NY coming up. They know me and my sense of humor, they know me and I know them thats why every thing I have posted here on bladeforums is such a joke

GOT YOU MICK GOT YOU GOOD BUDDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope this was not to bad of a dig but when Mick signs you up for a butt fagot web site and your wife finds out you gotta get him back by any psyop means neccessary!

 This is one of the most bizarre threads I have ever read.

Now for a serious question with all the Strider fans and Mick peeking in.

What are the differences between the Sng and this new model?

I am wondering if I should get a Sng if I don't win this, my second Sng raffle or if I should hold off until this one comes out for all to buy

I'm preserving this in case GS decides to pull a "Mick Strider is cool" edit.

Be kinda hard to do when you have "walked the plank" :D.

Pretty twisted dude who thinks dragging a person's name and work through lies on online forums can be accepted as a joke. I am glad he wrote what he did, but he has a lot to learn about jokes (and a lot of other things.)

One of the things that is important in online venues is having real experience and face to face friends with experience so that your "online filter" is in good working order.

Like somebody further back said: This has been one very entertaining thread. It managed to get more bizarre as it went along.

After all that I've got a serious itch to see one of these Strider knives in the flesh, so to speak, but I doubt that I'll ever see one here and right now I don't have the spare cash to buy one. I sure liked the pic I saw of the SnG though.

Because ________________ and the other one have been quiet lately can I please write a story about this guy? Huh? Huh? Pretty please? Huh? Huh?

I'm thinking something like Harry Jensen becomes the 30th Palm.

Next Thread: The Strider MARSOC vs. the big concrete grinder thingy that was on the Discovery Channel last night, followed by Procurement Officers Gone Wild.

Hell, this thread caused me to get an AR today.
I sure hope to see swenson make himself known at the NY show and say hi to Mick and Duane. I'll be there.

No one can do it better than you W.S.D. :D (BTW that concrete grinder was nothing at all short of awesome.)

(Maybe one for here and maybe another more challenging one for the mensa members of W&C :) This guy is no kid.);)

Couldn't he story be 29 palms and one nicely bronzed **** bucket under a creosote bush?

I just happen to like Palm Trees even if they are in the middle of the Desert.

The SMF is a 20% larger version of the SnG.

I know it's not exactly what you wanted but here is a pic of the SMF and AR posted by Mick elsewhere.

Wait! I found that which you seek!

I gotta agree with you... This thread has certainly had it all.

Hi Jackboots... I was doing some searching on Striders to gather a little info.. I have had Sebenzas and Striders. I have no more Sebbies as much as I like them... and I really do like them.. but I keep selling my 'other knives' to buy Striders.

BTW.. I thougt you would be interested in this fact (regarding your comment I bolded in red) an MCSOCOM just sold the other day on USN.. I think it was listed at $2,000... it sold in a few minutes.

peace. dart

Hello,

Specs as per the Tactical Knives article:

MCSOCM Det 1 Folder - Blade - 4-inch long, 1.25 inch wide, 5/32 thick, flat ground, spear/drop point, S30V HRC 59-60,
Handle - 5 1/8 inch long, 1 1/8 inch wide, 1/2 inch thick
Locking system - frame lock
Titanium pocket clip
Lanyard hole
Weight - 5.5 ounces
Strangely, the blade has both a thumb hole and thumb stud

"ALL can be had for the scammy price of between US$ 400 - US$ 450 ! It will be interesting to see how fast the price drops once the HYPE disappears" :)

----

I find it interesting that when a knife Co. somebody likes is put under the light of day they would prefer to slather the thread in maggot faeces rather than think constructively about what can be done to fix the multiple problems under discussion !
