"A Search and Rescue team is called in when Les Stroud gets lost in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. "

Just FYI.

I think we have to wait a year to get it here in Canada, (stupid?) just checked and man vs. wild is on tonight though.:(

Wow pretty crazy if he gets lost in the Sierra after all the exotic places he's been. Shows how truly wild that area (thankfully) still is.

Thatnks for the update.

I like his show and hope he continues to film.

Maybe Discovery will offer him more money and he will change his mind and do another season.

Not to take anyting away from les, I can't get into the series i saw the amazon series and it was ho hum he didn't really do anything shelter was provided for him and a raft. he went hungry for awhile, and I saw him eat an an egg and get sick because he said eating protein when you are dehydrated makes you get cramps etc.... Why do it than, can you guys who watch the series more than myself feel me in why you like les stroud or did i just watch like just his worst episode?

he actually did make a shelter but had to move when his cameras were shutting down due to the rain .... the ostrich egg was the Kilahari episode if I'm not mistaken

yeah he went hungry the shelter took him forever, and he had to move down stream where they had a hut for him and he had a canoe which just ruin it for me it just got the yawn factor for me. he ate the ostrich egg and was in a world of pain because he said afterward because of dehydration. If you knew that was going to happen, I would forgo food. The worst thing that can happen to you is being in the bush and sick.

I really enjoyed this episode tonight. My favorite so far.

One thing though; why use the payute trap in that situation, what is wrong with the figure 4?

I was pretty impressed with the Apache cigar, keeping a coal alive for so many hours seems like more of an art than a skill :o

Awesome show. Just awesome. Ive missed watchin Les. I liked the foriging for wild edibles, the aztec cigar, and the use of the SAR. I think les offers lots of sound info.

One cool thing was seeing the aerial footage of the signal mirror working. That was neat.
Also the way his deadfall didnt fall all the way, man bet you couldnt do that twice!

All in all it gives me high hopes for this new season. Next weeks in the rockies with horses looks really cool.

Was les using a Kabar?
