New Terminology: Regular Carry Rotation

EDC is just a hashtag marketing term. Another tactical sounding acronym to confuse everyone about real knife ownership. Something different than the typical what knife do you have, where was your wool blanket imported from conversation. EDC is like speed dating for knife nerds. You can go from not knowing you existed in the universe to saying you're wrong about everything someone does in one 30 second pocket dump. I change which knife I have on me depending on what I'm gonna be doing that day. It'd just be senseless to carry the same thing everyday in your pocket and negate the 30,000 years of adaptation our species has undergone with the tool, just to limit yourself.
 
Let's throw another one out there.

How about IMP? In My Pocket.

I change what's in my pocket several times a day. Something heavy in my work pants, something lighter in my gym shorts. Even something with a longer blade when preparing a meal.

It falls in with the term pocket dump too.
 
Where're the pretzels? It seems your IMP is one snack short of the SST (Salty Snack Trifecta).

Ah, yes..I hear you brother. I feel kinda the same way. Irks me that the phrase EDC bothers some on the paticular of splitting hairs, for it to be an issue. What really pisses me off is when Im obliged to change my speech or expressions as to make it more PC, ...as not to offend...like your suggesting w/ the RCR phrase...as to all get along...Sick of all the PC BS quite frankly, and this thread is nothing but...So, whos really the sensitive one? Im not saying your stupid, just that your idea is stupid:D. No, wait...thats not right either..I guess what Im really saying is...who gives a shit..or WGaS, (if that makes it easier for you).. The tender ones, thats who..

The best thing is that this thread was originally made mainly as a joke.
However, people have taken it seriously enough to like or, in some cases, have visceral reaction against it, leading to the current state of affairs where I'm now actually going to use it. :thumbup:

Today's choice from the RCR is the ZT 0801 and an Emerson Super CQC-8. :)

And by trading a Benchmade Mini-Griptilian with my buddy who came down yesterday, I added a Grohmann Knives Large Skinner to the OCR.

Man, honestly no offence. Im half joking as well,..I get it, just bashing a point/issue around myself.....if RCR works for the whiners and sticklers....whatever shuts them up...I agree..:)

The funniest part of it all is that now after using it a bit, I actually like the term. :D

So I guess the joke is mostly on me, as I've tricked myself into adopting a new term!

You know? I do feel better...more honest w/ myself...Thanks Stabman!:D

Of coarse, Ill be sure to update and notify, should there be any changes to the rotation:)
