New Toy...

Looking good.

I moved my KLX out of the garage to clean, and snapped some pics. I will probably be selling it off (not running) here shortly.
 
Well... a little more done to the bike on my days off.... added the crash bar/belly protection.... need to get some brackets made to secure the back of this to the original engine protection mounts, once all that it done I will have the steel refinished ... :D Added a new chain guide, and (not visible of course) a lithium battery. Have a HID headlight for it and driving lights on the way. I also received a carry rack (along with the crash bars) that came off an ex-Army XT. Seems the mounting points (1991 v 2002) are a little different so I am taking it off to the local engineering place to modify for me (he will also fab the crash bar mounts). The rack is not doubt manufactured by RAEME types so it is solid but a little ugly ...!!!

The real work was a test fitting of the carry rack on the back of the TLC.... :D

Not happening as quick as I would like mate but it will be close to finished before I take off bush in February.... :D

Yes ...me too, but I got a warning thing about it yesterday and told to change it... :( :( :(

Back from the welding shop... rear rack fitted and tactical black milk crate attached.... ;) Going bush at the end of the week for an entire week.... can't wait now... :D Still have to arrange the rifle carrier and move the pipe in a little so I can weld on the other side wing on the rack but I wanted at least he rack for this trip. It gets a set of nice aggressive tyres on Tuesday.... :D

Lookin good, andy! One of these years i'll get out of this ridiculous state and get a bike or two. Suzy has had a couple of harleys and wants another; me, i wouldn't mind a harley but i really want an off road bike first.
 
Thanks mate.... it will get a good test run next week in the mountains back near where I grew up. Still have to figure out where/how I am going to mount the rifle carrier but I will figure something out. Once all the welding and such is finished (one more wing on the back rack)...I will get the rack and engine protection Cerakoted to basic black.... ;) About to drop it in for tyres now.... :D
 
I also have to figure out where the SYKCO 1311 is going to be mounted.... :D Probably down inside the front rack there..... ;)
 
Andy, mount two on the front as removable 'spikes'... :D

That way, if you run something over there will be no whining...
 
Tyres are done and bike is strapped down in the trailer... went to buy a Koplin Gun Boot and mount but they were sold out...!!!!! :( I have adapted and Israeli sling to carry the rifle cross chest when riding. It is on QD swivels so I can swap it out asap for my normal sling when I am at the walking stage.
