New Toy...

No 1311 as yet....BUT....just spent the day in the garage fabricating (the nice way of saying beating the crap outta a bit of metal with a big hammer then forcing a drill through it in several places....even though the drill bit glowed red and melted) a new exhaust bracket to replace one that snapped last trip bush and fitted the new black tank.... :D

Looks much more "mad max" now mate

I would be tempted to get a few tins of Krylon cammo paint and do the tank, seat fairing, mud guards and those blue fork covers so they matched up to the seat.

Now you have the dull matt black as a base colour any chips in the paint will still keep an overall cammo look.

It is very much the same to doing a cammo job on a rifle and here is a good thread if your interested:-

You may as well go for the "full monty" :D

Peter...I have several cans of Krylon in tan and od green on hand should the dead rise and I need to dull this one down just a little more.... ;) I am also getting better at squirting cerakote about :D :D The fork boots are going later in the year as I need to overhaul the seals etc and will do it as a job lot... :D

this make me want to get something like this. im going to cycle trader right not to see what i cant find.

Your bike looks like its ready for some fun and possibly ready to get into a little bit of trouble. It looks great, Andy!

Yes...it is lots of fun....not so much when I put it down hard on the side of a hill.... you know those moments of "frack...this is going to hurt" ...than laying there to see if everything still moved OK.... :D

Funny you mention that Rob, as I stated about I bought a 1311 SPECIFICALLY to attach to the Zombie Express, I also have a BB sheath for the purpose, just need to settle on a location !!

Hahahahaha where would the fun be without a little danger? :D

Those moments are the worst, I hate knowing that things are going to go wrong just after its too late to adjust.

I remember riding a Clydesdale when I was about 8, no saddle or bridle…just a bit of hose used like a makeshift bit. The horse was a cart horse as well….apparently the difference was lost on me…. I remember the horse taking off and then just STOPPING…. I still remember the image of me rushing past her ears and then all the air and space….and the ground appearing to rise up and meet me…..then nothing for a bit….then pain….then “oh hell….how will I explain what happened to my mother” …. Yes…that worried me more than the concussion and lost skin etc etc…. ;) :D
