New Tracker Blade

I received one also today. I purchase mine three 1/2 weeks ago. Well worth the wait. I used to have a Beck WSK until I sold it on Ebay for 4x its value. My only gripes are that there is no sheath and the screws hoding the Micarta are counter sunk too deep (too much dirt can a find a home in there).

For that price a simple kydex sheath should be included. What happened to the initial $200 price?

Glad you guys like the knives. I am hanging onto my beck though :)

Had a little fun with #0011.

She sank into this 3 year old apple wood stump.

Shaved some kindling from this Maple branch very easily.

Heh....gotta give credit, it's a mighty nice looking knife judging from the pics.

I still think RS6 is a completely insipid horses ass, but it's not a bad looking knife for folks who like that particular style.

I'll still stick with a decent Leuku, or hatchet for myself though...:D

Looks okay, the blade looks nice. Am I the only one here who thinks that's the ugliest Micarta ever on the handle? It looks like some of that mythical 'Frostwood' they market as handle materials on the shopping channels. uck. :barf:

no............the handle is ugly and
I think the horses ass is pretty dead on too :)

It is better bevels than the tops. have fun with it bro!

I got mine today and you guys are very rough crowd to please. The guy made a good tool, just like he said. It is GREAT for Production Piece. The handle has great feel. If you are looking for pretty Probaby should be looking for this kind of knife anyway. There are a few things I don't like but very functional tool. The holes on blade could be slightly larger to get paracord through easier. The Saw back needs a little fine tuning, but not that bad for production level. The screw fastners are sunken slightly and although functional could be more asthetic. Handles scales feel great but looks is not what it is about for me.
The Grind tapers slightly and is smaller at top which I thought but it has not affected anything I was working on. Great quarter round on the gut hook. Came very sharp and held a good edge I put a sharpening stone to mine and really put an edge to it. The saw back is very much true to Beck version with the self cleaning design, Just need to work it with a file. Looks like some of tips got nicked in machining. Cleaned up very easy. Showed it to a couple of buds and they want one now. I am very pleased and glad I picked it up. He is legit and made exactly what he said. Critics are critics but until you see and use it, you just don't know.
It was a long wait but I feel well worth it. A little slow on delivery but kept in communication with me very well and told me what was going on the whole time. I felt paying the guy and waiting I was sure to get ripped off but he came through with FLYING Colors!! I would recommend it to add to collection. GREAT PEICE. Glad someone did it right. Thanks RS6. A+ in my book.

You make some really cool stuff but man you sound bitter. He did it just like he said he was and still you attack the guy no wonder he went off. I would too. Just admit he made something good for production not a custom peice like you do. but damn, give the guy some credit.

ebay has one for auction for $185 right now has a day on it fixed price is at $245. He is still trying to tie up some loose ends today when I talked with him on sheaths. He Said he would call me when he found out more details but still recommended a Rawhide Leather or Hedgehog Leatherworks for best type of sheath. I am going to send them an email and find out how much. That price for sheath I had to see if knife was actually worth it before and it is.

I just have a hard time if your first hit single is a cover song and you cant even sell a simple sheath with it.

Glad he pulled through for you guys. Forgive my bitter tone but I like to see dirty hands and some sweat I guess. I am proud that it out does the Tops version for him..........about time in that respect

Guess I am not very good about hiding my gut feelings so sorry bout' that :)

The first thing that popped into my head as I looked at these shots was that there doesn't seem to be ANY difference in the bevels for the front "chopping" edge and the "draw knife" section. They both look to be the same height, same depth of grind---which kind of defeats the purpose of the whole split edge design, for me. The Beck/Linger version is a stout convex front edge with a thin flat grind in the rear section, so you have two different types of cutting available. Don't get me wrong, this looks like it was well executed in fit/finish and made to a high overall degree of quality, but--if I'm seeing it right (and I may not be)--I think the point was kind of missed.

Edit: Definitely nice job on those teeth!

Who knows maybe I get two pics.
I start to like this knife:thumbup:
At least I don't have to wait 9 months
with no answer from the knife maker you know....
when the agrement was 6 months:thumbdn:
brian:barf: ;) besides that, I ordered the knife,
then 9 months later, the knife maker still has not started working on it.
What fat up mail business???!!!
RS6 good to go:thumbup:

Glad you enjoy the knife ishiyumisan. Good to see no one got ripped off. That was what I was afraid of.

In the end all of the guys that have wanted one have gotten 'em and seem real pleased, so I guess that's what counts...I'm truly happy for those who got what they wanted.

That being said....I just can not see how a knife maker can appear outta nowhere making a design that complex. No first knives, no other models, not even a simple statement of experience...blade hardness is top secret, philosohies behind blade making are top secret....
Just a mass appearance of a very complex but trendy blade design.

I'm not calling the guy a scammer, but I can't help but to be curious about the progression and transpiration of all this.

I will continue to call him a grade A a$$hole though.:D
