I thought I would start this off since I am happy to report to you all that the first 150 Tyrades are about to ship. REALLY, like in hours. Well, 149 actually. 1 is sitting right here in my hand... and they are well worth the wait. You'll all get a better price than I did but I actually was visiting Kershaw when these were being made and I wanted to make sure I got one of the first. otherwise, I try to pay 10 cents on the dollar;) Just kidding. But I'm not kidding about the knife, and I'll post pics tonight... promise. So, get on the horn to your local dealer soon.

oh, maybe you all can post your arrival times here as well... My threads never seem to live long, so I have high hopes ;)

Looks to have the Blur's blade style, very cool. I was never sure about the steel choices, but man is that a good looking knife!

Ya'll keep a lookout for the Tyrade passaround that I'll be hosting soon! I'll start a new thread soon to get names and addresses

Could you please post some side by side compared shots with other knives or dollar bills or AA battery or... you get what I mean.Please.

About the visit... I work for another local manufacturer and any tour was not planned. they graciously took me around to answer a couple technical questions I had. Just long enough to see some treats. sorry for any confusion

about the knife... I haven't really found anything I don't like. Reminds me of the JYDII in size but I don't have one for comparison. It will be interesting to compare to the Ti JYD when it comes out but I won't be getting one of those too soon. My only concern is that I bet the copper part of the blade will need to stay oiled or will oxidize??? not sure. I have another knife with exposed copper that tarnished some. The blade came well oiled. No biggy. Right now I can tell you this is the nicest Kershaw I've ever held... really sets Kershaw ahead of the pack for keeping cost down on this. Worth EVERY penny.

OE that is a beautiful knife! could you post a pic with her next to an Offset? i wanna know how close it is in size(you said it resembles the JYD2 in size). nice to see it locks so well.

Totally awesome!
Like Jeremy said, sooooooo jealous.

Can't wait to get one!
[translation: Can't wait to be able to afford one again, some time, in the not too distant future!]
