Becky has no history in her family of leukemia, Dave had a great grandfather who had it. She will undergo a more intense treatment schedule, and will be at the hospital 4 days a week, anywhere from 4 - 9 hours a day, for 4 months. At that time they will retest. If they have gone away, they will resume normal treatments 2 times a week. If they have gotten smaller they will do another 4 month cycle. If there is no change they will do stem cell transplants. All said, there is a 60-70% chance for recovery, compared to the 90-95% before.

I want to thank everyone for their kindness. I`m sorry to say I won`t be posting anymore updates. I received an email, I have no idea from whom, or what forum, saying that I had a good thing going, posting about my grandaughter and making money from it. I want to say that I have not made a dime off of this, whoever says so is a miserable SOB.
 
Damn, John -- that's cold.
karma will bite them in the butt at some point.
How can you be making $$ off of people auctioning off their own knives instead of buying yours?

That is so sad.......Whoever it is has my sympathy because it must really suck to be such a POS scumbag.

Just think of all the posts, emails and other well wishes and don't let one complete moron, hiding behind an email address, change any of the positive vibes!

We are all still here for her, you and your family.

John, you and your family have enough to deal with. Don't let one negative person bring you down. There's a lot more of us who care about you and your family than the one person who sent you that email.

Keep posting if it helps you deal with the stress. There are a lot of us here for you and your family.

(I feel bad for the person who sent you that email. They clearly can't, or won't, allow themselves to see things as if they were in your shoes.)

I can't really send out prayers, I've got my own views on religion, but Hanna is in my heart and I really hope she gets better.
 
John, prayers for Hanna. All you can do is hug your granddaughter and pray for strength. There are assholes everywhere, don't worry about them right now. Worry about your family.

Boy this pisses me off big time!
Miserable is right,but son of a female dog is too kind a description for the lowlife.

Sorry to hear about the set back John, still praying for Hanna and your family. Please don't stop the updates, the person who said that is a Coward and miserable SOB, if he has something to say then he should identify him/her self. If they read any of the posts then they would know you had nothing to do with this, the members of your forum and several other forums decided to do this on their own. Stay strong.
 
The average cost for a single round of chemotherapy is 150,000 dollars. Start to finish can be upwards of 1 million dollars. No one can possibley make a profit from this.
