New Web Specials??

In terms of the (expected) performance of the steel, I'm not sure that's true. CPM-154 would likely be a more or less straight-across comparison, but 154CM would not, I think. Helluvadeal regardless. :)

If we're splitting hairs S30V is a better premium steel...quite right.
However, for me and most all the users on this board, the difference in performance is not readily noticable except for S30V being a tad more difficult to sharpen.

But the main idea for the comment was it is a knife with a premium blade and select handles for a third the price and a "helluvadeal" as you say.

Of all the specials, the 112 sized 442- with pocket clip & thumbstud(on a serrated blade)...is definitely a USA made "deal of the day":

0442BKXFL-B BuckLite $10.00

and by the way the 154 is not on the site any longer
and sadly i think if you did not get a conferm with in few min
you may not get one
happened to me once..

Yep! You were right Dave! In just a tad over 2 days of this thread the 154CM 110's sold out. I went back on thursday night (18th) to update my order from 2 to 4, and it went through!!! I received a confirmation email soon afterwards also. BUT, Buck just called today and said they oversold that model. :( Oh well. I should have been quicker on the mouse LOL. Liz from Buck called today and offered half off MSRP of any factory model knife for any inconvenience. That is very cool and unnecessary of them to do! Its my fault I didnt order the knives sooner :o. LOL

 Way to go Buck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think I may have to pull the trigger on that CPM154 Dorado maybe now :D (I had better not wait either ;) )

I just did the same, seeing as how the rest of these guys scarfed up all the 110's. :grumpy: :D I kinda wish I'd gotten one of those ATS-34 Vanguards too before they were gone. For $40, talk about a deal.

I'm thinking that was just a standard production model, with a thumbstud opener

It looks like the 442FX Flick-it without ORC(outdoor recreation clip) and black thumbstud. When you get it I'd be interested to know what date stamp is on the tang.

You guys are kill'n me here! As usual, I was standing behind the door when the good stuff was passed out.:( Oh well, there is always next year. :)

Don't feel bad, I never caught the ATS vanguard either. That was a deal!!

There will be more knives down the road. ;)

I got my order of specials finially (away for holidays).
I ordered:
5 of the 154cm 110's...awsome knife outright but @ $30 they are simply Fantastic.
1 of the paperstone Rangers. This knife should go into regular production.
1 of the camel bone 500's. Another great knife...I should have bought several.
1 of the single bladed 301. I didn't feel any love for this knife when I got in in my hand so we'll see.

I have to say I'm really pleased with my new Bucks especially the paperstone Ranger.

Nice snags fellas. A buddy of mine just clued me in on these web specials. If anyone scored an extra 154CM-Charcoal Diamondwood 110 and would like to unload it please shoot me a PM or email. Thanks, Adam

I already saw one somewhere going for $100. I wish buck had limited the purchase to just one or two per person, to avoid the sell off. I'm kicking myself for only buying one.

Bear,

I actually bought the paperstone Ranger because of your comments on its quality. It's a real surprise! I wasn't expecting to like it but F&F is first rate, snap and pop are really good, rock solid lockup, and the thumbstud one-hand opening action is smooth smooth smooth!!!

I really think this is a production quality knife that people would buy in bulk.

So let's talk about these 154cm 110's in Charcoal inlay...First class knives all around. You'll notice below the range of color goes from gray to pretty much black. I find my self really liking the black on brass versions. With the exception of one knife with weakish snap, the F&F is very good even custom shop levels on a couple of them. This was a very nice opportunity provided by Buck...making these available as specials. Hang on to them fellas as I got a feeling 154cm 110's are gone forever.

Yeah, mine's been in my pocket since I got it, it's just about the perfect EDC. If they had put the more sheeple friendly Plum handle on it, (or better yet blaze orange) :) it would be darn near perfect!!!

Isn't that the same knife that SMKW's is selling as the "Father & Son" Ecolite 112? I have to say it's better looking without all the scribbling on the blade.
