I see they are out of the 154CM 110's already. 100+ went fast!

I wonder when they will appear on evil-bay - and at what elevated price?

I thought the e-mail ad lead I got from Buck was in error, as I have several Bucks in CPM154, including the Bass Pro 110, but none in 154CM. They did offer the CPM154 as a Custom Shop blade choice at one time, as well. I guess I'm judging apples against oranges, but my several examples of 154CM from Benchmade are not in the same ball park, wear & hardness-wise, as their D2 & S30V, much less the Buck CPM154. Of course, it re-edges easily enough - reminds me, pardon the heresy, of 420HC! So, number-game bragging rights aside, I won't miss it!
Who am I kidding? Sour grapes! Heck, I have a C.S. 110 'on the way' - my funds are depleted - getting a #143 - then a second - from WallyWorld was traumatic - and, inc s/t, I got change back from a $20 each time. Congrats to those who get one. I wonder when they will appear on evil-bay - and at what elevated price?

PS I am right re the CPM154 being a finer grained/harder blade steel than 154CM, or am I having another senior moment?

At that price one person may have bought in volume with intended resale.
I have a pretty good idea that they will show up, sooner rather than later and I have a real good idea who the eBay seller will be. I've noticed it before and I'm sure it will happen again. The seller is from Post Falls, so he/she probably doesn't even have to have them shipped. Just walk in a pick them up from Buck.
This might make a good contest! Pick the first seller to hit eBay with them.
E-mail or PM me for my guess.![]()
The plan worked on me as usual. Here's what may be of interest to the Duck and Phil...it seems a lot of people purchased other knives on special when they rushed in to get the 110. That was probably the plan.
"Loss Leader" marketing strategy 101.
....but I just can't understand why those blades didn't go into the custom shop as a "blades on hand" limited option.
I think I have the answer to my original question. The head scratcher and why these guys got a $30 close-out price is solved. See picture above.
These knives compare to a CS110 in S30V and Dymondwood at 3 times the price.
