i heard that the creators and network hired romero's make up guy, so we should see fx that are up to par with the movies (i hope). one of my favorite zombie reads, i hope they don't mess it up!

the quality wasn't too bad as long as you ran it at fairly low resolution. I saw it on a 24" monitor and it was awesome but look like crap. can't wait for the second episode.

What'll really be great is when we'll be able to buy each whole season in box sets! Or like you said, rent the whole season from NetFlix and go on a weekend zombie binge.
I've been seeing more and more commercials for this show everyday, even a bunch that are remarks and interviews from the lead actors. They're really pumping this show up! Can not wait!!!You guys ready to watch the pilot? I was ever bummed, since when I checked my dish package last week, I didnt have amc in my package. However, I checked again tonight, and like magic, I suddenly have AMC. After much rejoicing, I set up the dvr. I am sure I didnt have it last week, cause it was red.
I watched it, it was pretty good but I was just disappointed by the lack of intelligence used by the main character guy. His weapon of choice being that large revolver, and he walked around with no since of situational awareness what so ever. Him being a police officer I would think he would be slightly more cautious and better prepared.

yeah but he is still a little out of it, post-hospital. I get the sense he will learn the ropes quickly following the tank incident. BTW what sold me on the show was the concession to reality that shooting a magnum revolver in an enclosed place WILL ring your ears like a very big bell!

^ Same here ! I enjoyed the show. I thought it was better than most stuff that gets on nowadays. As far as critique-it's a TV show.
