New ZT/Hinderer Flipper is Coming!!!0560/0561

Long live the flipper!
 Agreed! Not sure a non-flipper version would be my cup of tea...the KVT seems to work very well in conjunction with the flipper/strong detent. A smaller (3.0") 056X somewhere down the line would be awesome though!;)

No it wouldn't! I usually share some your opinions but not this one. Why bother with this knife at all. The 3" - 3.5" folder market is so flooded, it's like I do't have to check cuz I know the blade's gonna be that size. Might as well buy a delica, 940 osborne, and a small Sebenza - call your collection complete.

I think most of the excitement this knife is causing is due to it's"look" and size. :)

I do see your point there. The size of the 0561 is nice, I agree. I was thinking it would be cool to have a 3" model in case you're going somewhere a larger blade isn't allowed.

I agree with both you guys (cziv & DrOpPoInT1110). Part of what makes the 0560/1 what it is, is its size. However, I also think there would be a place for a smaller 0560/1 inspired KVT/flipper knife. (That place being my pocket. :D) Just like DrOpPoInT1110 said, for times when a larger blade isn't permitted or would be inappropriate or inconvenient.

That said, even though an 0561 will technically be illegal to carry in my city (max 3.5" blade length) I think I'll still have to get one... It's just too awesome...

You brought up a good point. even though the market is flooded with 3" models as cziv said, i can't think of many titanium models with a ball bearing pivot. I think it would sell well.

Even more than the tumbled finish on hinderers, I like the perfectly formed hand grind marks on the customs! (Second from Right is a custom.) Oh, yeah. I've been busy. Just got back from Ohio.

If you have never been to one of Rick's events, you don't know what you're missing. He and Rob Orlando are about the nicest most down to earth guys I know!

Zt needs to make a 4'' or 4.5'' version in the future
Hah, and there's the other point of view. :) And, sure, why not? It would only be fair...

I do think that no matter what happens down the line size-wise, that 3.75" was probably the right size for the introductory version of the ZT/Hinderer flipper. In other words, if they were only ever going to do one size, I would think they made the right choice at 3.75." Sort of in between the small and the large crowds with a little bias towards ZT's heavy-duty theme, and little separation from the 0550/1's size.

Agreed. 3.75" or 3.5" would of both been perfect if there was only ever going to be one.

Finally scrounged up enough money for a ZT0560! Whoo-hoo! Its pre-order time! :D

Thats good your getting in on the pre-order, I figured we probably have 4-6 months before these ship, I have a while to come up with the money. I do hope they ship sooner though.

Was really hoping: Hallowe'en.

Afraid it might be Valentines' Day!

But...worth the wait.
