New ZT/Hinderer Flipper is Coming!!!0560/0561

I have got to stop looking at this thread! I just get all worked up and then get so upset because I WANT MINE NOW and can't have it. Every day is harder to go on.....

ok, back to our regularly scheduled programming.

All I know is that the place where I preordered has quit taking them. All that matters:-)

Got my 0560 finally way different then I was expecting!!

Tell us about it.

Wives? they're still breeding 'em every day...both literally & figuratively.

Heres a short video showing it, its not as beefy feeling as I expected, its really light, I expected it to feel like the 0551, 0550 but as a flipper, but it feels much different in hand, it feels thinner and not as heavy duty.
It flips open fast though and came razor sharp and dead centered. Jimping is rough and does irritate slightly but worth it imo

not a review just showing it

I know this is a little off topic but if anybody ends up with #57 and has no attachment to that number PM me. It's just a luck number thing.

Ok, I've been playing with it this evening.
It's very light for its size, which is not a bad thing. The proto I played with in June seemed heavier, but that was almost a year ago.
The overall fit and finish for a production knife is Top Rate.
I love the texturing on the scales and frame. The frame is not as rough as it looks. They did a good job smoothing it out. The pocket clip works, its not bad at all guys. It bows out a little but that's good if you want to attach it to your go bag.
The action when you flip it with the flipper is fast and smooth. It's faster than a XM but very different.
If you practice you can fire the blade extremely fast using the thumb stud. "This takes practice" but the results are rewarding. The jimping on the spine of the blade is perfect. The jimping on the back of the frame is sharp and bites hard. It could use some smoothing out "I can live with it" though :D

This is my first night with the 560. I'll keep you updated as time goes on. I'll also do a video and post some nicer pics when I get some time. I want to show you how fast you can fire with the thumb stud.

Hi everybody, this is my first post in this forum. I'm reading it for a long time and I finally joined.
The 0560 is hitting ebay now and they sell it for about $500. I'm living in Switzerland and I could get a Hinderer XM18 from a shop here for about the same amount.
I guess this would be quite a good deal, any recommondations on the price? Is this a bargain or just the usual street price? I could get also a XM 24 for about $720.

Here is one much cheaper http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/928195-ZT-Hinderer-560. In a few months the price will be more reasonable for sure.

Finally a YouTube video of someone, who doesn't work for Kershaw, fondling and checking the knife out. I've been waiting for this. I wanted to see what regular people thought, how it felt, first impression, etc. I think it's pretty perfect. I'm not fond of that texturing on the titanium side, but I'll deal with it. I can't wait to get one of these. My luck, it'll be 6 months from now.:(

And to the couple of guys who were saying the jimping was too sharp. You guys just have girl hands. ;)

If you can get a 560 at retail price for around 260.00 i'd go with that. But i would'nt go 500.00 just wait they'll come down to normal prices after they've been out for a while. I'd get the XM-24 though for that price the real deal and a good price.
