New ZT/Hinderer Flipper is Coming!!!0560/0561

I'm actually kinda surprised Dave only had 500 preorders. I would have guessed more. Is that 500 people, or 500 knives (could be a big difference since a lot of us ordered more than one)?
 
I'm probably last in line. I sent Dave an email for a pre order on a 561........real late, like less than a month ago.:D But, I'm hoping they send him enough to get everyone a 560 or 561. That would be really cool. In the mean time, I really do appreciate you guy's posting the videos and pics of the knives you've gotten already. I love watching the first impression video's especially. THANKS!

545 emails on preorder, some are multiples.
 
I preordered a 0561 from Knifeworks. I emailed them yesterday to see if they knew when they'd be getting them in. I was told they called Kershaw this morning and were informed the 0561s will probably start shipping to dealers in June or July.

Well think about it. How many knives do they make per run, 200, 500, 1000? My guess is less than 500. Dave nor any dealer will get the entire line. How many dealers out there? Remember were talking world wide. Also remember Dave has over 500 pre orders, how many do the other dealers have and how many dealers are there. Again were talking world wide. Are there 10 dealers with 500 pre orders, 30 dealers with 250 etc?

How often does Kershaw open up the line for these knives once a week, every other week, once a month? Their bread and butter knives likely will have a priority over any knives.

My point is thinking rationally, late comers won't be getting their knives this spring. This summer? Wishful thinking I think. If you plan on it coming as a Christmas gift you might not be disappointed.

I hope Kershaw spoke with "forked tounge" when they answered KWs question about when their shipment of 561's would be in. I'm sure Kershaw would't lie tho.
That's a Long time to wait and wait and wait.....................

Yea, I know I'm wishful thinking. But, I hope it's sooner than Christmas. I'd sure love to get one before then. Shucks, I didn't even know ZT knives existed until the past 6 mos or so. And, Dave had to get me hooked on them!! Now I have the 350 he gave me, a ZT 301 blem I bought from him, and ZT 200 I picked up for cheap else where. All three knives are great knives. And, I think the 56x's will be even better.
I'm thinking I may buy a 550 to hold me over. The question is whether I can convince my wife I NEED(and can afford) both the 550 and 561.:D

Been refreshing this thread all day waiting for an update about a brown truck to one of our friendly forum dealers :D
What can I say, I'd kind of put this knife to the back of my mind but its getting close to time and I'm anxious again.
 
The Brown truck must have shown up today.......... cuz' I just heard from Dave!!!!!! :) :thumbup:

Oh man oh man I'll be watching my email box now. I checked with him earlier and was #9 for the 0561....hope he got at least 10 of them!

Was yours for an 0560 or 0561?
