Looking forward to meeting all you guys from this thread at Blade. We need to get a group photo with our ZT's!
 
If you knew how many were preordered you might guess again, I know they need to spread them out, because it isn't just us waiting for them, I also know they will be fair in distribution, they always are. I am hoping for a brown truck tomorrow , had one today and got fooled with some rakes that were on backorder, ha.

Doesn't really matter what happened early on or latter for that matter. The total number of pre orders is what is going to determine when the late comers (like me) get their knives. So would the total number be 500, 1500, 3000 or more? Don't forget that we are talking about knife nuts world wide.

If we knew how many knives are made per run and how often Kershaw opens up the line for 056X series we could estimate about when the hundreds or thousands of pre orders would be filled.

We could bug Thomas to tell us the answers about how many and often, but we still wouldn't know how many people pre ordered. And even if we knew all the numbers it isn't going to make our knives arrive any sooner. What it could though do is set us up for disappointment if schedules couldn't be kept on time.

I just can't get too worked up about when my order ships because it will be many many months, yes it could be Christmas. That's okay it's all about the chase anyway. Right? If it wasn't we would have been satisfied many knife purchases ago.

I do find it curious that most dealers quit taking pre orders. Why would that be?

It will be well worth the wait however long that may be.:thumbup:
 
When I emailed Dave he said he had something like 300 pre-orders.Not sure if that ws just the 0561 preorders as that was what I was emailing about or 300 total for both the 560 and 561?

Even with VIP passes, which were let in earlier than general public, by the time I got around to what I was looking for they were all sold...I did spend quite some time at the kershaw/ZT booth playing with the 560/561 and 777, before I checked out everyone else....shameless plug but it was true
