New ZT/Hinderer Flipper is Coming!!!0560/0561

We are privileged to have our finger on the pulse of ZT/Kershaw knives through these forums. We get a lot of info here that wouldn't normally be accessible - kept up to date on many new releases and products. If we keep up the spoiled, got have it now, bad attitude in these threads - we may lose the welcome door approach Thomas, ZT and Kershaw have given us. Which is much more insight into there company than most give.

Well said there..........I agree totally

I'm sorry, but it's crap that the international thing is still getting cried about. Kai, being a foreign company, it's pretty insane for people to think that it has to be here first and that there is something wrong with the international obligations being taken care of first is a bad thing.

In some places, made in the USA goods are still a hot commodity. Remember what Levis were worth overseas?

My preorder was refunded today, the dealer isn't getting anything from the first batch and that's life. I pmed kershawguy months ago asking if it was too late to preorder and never got a response from him. Maybe because I've never ordered from him? O well.

I'll get one when I get one. I have other knives, responsibilities, etc to worry about some of these going overseas first, or that I didn't get a preorder in early enough. It's still just a knife, all that came out of this crying was a lesson learned and a loss of a lot of information on what will be coming down the pipeline.

Must have missed your PM, not sure how. Sorry

I, too, got my 0560 today. I still can't figure out where they hid the spring. The blade just jumps open! :)

Kudos to the ZT crew and Rick! I think this one might see more pocket time than the XM-24.

Shame on you! I'll take that XM-24 off your hands for my NIB ZT 0560. :p :D

Hi I found someone on ebay who is selling them for about $400, but it seams that they have also a normal shop where they are selling other ZT Knifes.
They claim to get 24 0560 by next week. Is this legal, to put them overpriced on ebay!

That's the same dealer someone was asking the same question about earlier today (the Florida-based dealer that boasts on their regular [non-eBay] website about being an authorized ZT dealer and has other models for sale there). The answer earlier seemed to be that there's nothing in ZT's policies that prevents them from doing it, but that there's also nothing that prevents us from refusing to do any business with such a dealer, whether now or in the future.

Plus, as someone pointed out earlier, not only are they a dealer getting them for wholesale and selling them for above MSRP, but if you look at the fine print of their listing, they don't even have them in stock but claim that all orders will be shipped by March 8. Authorized dealer or not, it sounds like they're out to make a quick buck on a product they don't even have in stock and, given how limited the supply of 0560s is, may not even have any guarantee of getting within the time frame they're claiming.

Terrible business practices IMO

..I'll be waiting patiently for Dave's email instead. And hopefully I won't miss the next batch or if Mr. Thomas is in the giving mood :D

It's pretty amazing, huh? I guarantee if you showed the knife to 100 non-knife geeks and flicked it open they would call it a "switchblade" or "automatic" or s something along those lines.

Nahhhh....we'd call them "new converts!"

^^
Yep, the action on these are the fastest I've ever seen for a flipper.
Thomas, can you hook me up with a box of those bearing systems? Lol! Awesome stuff brother!
I'm going to get a LSCF scale made for mine. I know someone who makes really cool scales If I can get him to slow down on the grinder. Lol! :D

Yes - some dealers will charge a bit more than others, MAP of $260 is minimum advertised price - or - the lowest they can be sold for supposedly. Some shopkeepers inventory or overhead may warrant them having to charge a little bit more. That's fine under MAP pricing. (just not less $$) :)

I bit the bullet and bought one off the exchange, I didn't get raped too badly. I can't wait for this thing. i just got a 0551 in a trade and as long as the 0560 is at least as nice, I will be 100% satisfied.

cziv, with MAP a dealer can sell at whatever price they please. You just can't advertise it for less than the policy allows.

I placed a pre order with knife center for a 560, should I have placed one for the 561 instead? I'm not sure which will be available first. I don't own any flippers at the moment but the more I look at the 560 the more I can't wait to get my hands on one. The wait is killing me and it's only been a few weeks since I found out about zero tolerance, and this model in particular. For now my trusty large sebbie will have to do a it always does :grumpy::grumpy::grumpy:

Have tried contacting multiple dealers, I guess they are unavailable for the foreseeable future? Would love to get my hands on one of these

Understood Thomas. That is of course accurate. I didn't want to write a volume on it. We used to use coupon codes, or "see cart for lo discount price" type of ploys when I was selling on line. Air Taser was one of the biggest pains in the butt. I swear they'd check everyone's sites about every quarter for any hint of advertisement. :)
