New ZT/Hinderer Flipper is Coming!!!0560/0561

I personally like the knife the way it comes..........the deeper the pocket the better for me.
I just like to post once in a while .....LOL

Just got my 561 yesterday. It's a beast of a knife. It's my first flipper and I really like it, flips open smoothly and locks up solidly. It was extremely hard to disengage at first but continued opening and closing and a bit of pencil lead and it's very smooth now. Though my thumb is a bit chewed up (probably means I need to put the knife down and go outside). The fit and finish is very good, one small patch of polished/shiny G-10 on the scale (only visible in certain light) but otherwise perfect. Nice and sharp and destroyed some cardboard boxes with ease.

For my first ZT and flipper, I'm impressed and can see why there was such great anticipation. I'm glad I was able to get an order when they came in stock earlier this week, I had missed all the preorders and was dreading having to wait months and months.

Took the words right outta my mouth. I'm gonna order a couple.

Thanks, I just ordered two of them. We'll see how it works out.

To those that are trying out these non-deep carry pocket clips from knifekits.com, please let us know how they turn out. I have some dressier pants that I just simply cannot fit this thing in as it is too long. I know, I know, I have a Case Mini Copperhead w/ Blue Bone, but nothing comes close to the feel and performance of my ZT0561:thumbup:.

I ordered 3 - one for my 0561, one for my buddy's 0560, and one as a maybe For an old Benchmade with a flimsy, cheap clip I hate that has the same attachment screw pattern.

Ill be out of town all week but will give a report next week when I get back.

Woo hoo! Had to back out of my pre order with Mr. Anderson on Thursday because my dog had a fairly expensive trip to the vet. I forgot about quite a bit of money that was headed my way on Friday.

In the wee hours yesterday I saw the 0560 for sale on his website, so hopefully as of tomorrow, I'll have it heading my way, and from my first choice of dealer. Can. Not. Wait.

Sorry for the emails when it wasn't really an issue, Dave.

Should we be oiling any part of this knife, and if so, where? I don't want the oil to break down the plastic or anything silly like that...

honestly the factory lubricates these knives extremely well. If the action starts to get stiff you can apply a couple drops of oil near the pivot area with the knife closed and then work it in by opening and closing the knife. But honesly unless you cleaned out the pivot with a spray cleaner or accidentally submerged the knife and had to strip it to remove the water then I really wouldnt worry about it. The bearings are sealed enough where I dont see the grease or oil escaping on its own for a long time.

Got my preordered 0561 today from KC. It is serial number 0478. All looks perfect. The lockup is rock solid and even with a bit of wrist whip action thrown in the lock disengagement is buttery smooth with no hint of stickiness. Blade is perfectly centered. The whole knife is very nicely made and extgremely well executed for a production knife. One thing that seems different and maybe I am just not remembering what a 0560 I had (SOLD IT) looked like BUT the titanium right side slab looks a little less polished than the 0560 I had--even a little more grippy on ther 0561 and NOT because of the texturing or dimpling. More noticeable on the sides than the front titanium surface. Both were within 50 serial numbers from each other if that makes any difference. Anyone else notice this at all? Maybe I am just seeing things. Overall, I am again impressed with this ZT model and this one is a KEEPER!
