New ZT/Hinderer Flipper is Coming!!!0560/0561

It looks like those days are possibly coming to an end. Kershaw seems to be getting alot of knives into the marketplace. Hopefully that will put an end to the ridiculously high secondary market pricing.

I agree! I hope they get enough out soon to make those prices go down, doesn't matter to me since I already got mine at regular price :D

For the money nothing can touch it.

I couldn't agree more and it has me second guessing myself for paying $400 on a few other folders. Those knives are great no doubt but I can't say that they offer more for my money than the ZT 0560 series. My first ZT was the 0551 so needless to say, I'm now a HUGE fan and will be buying more including the 0777 whenever it comes out.

Has there been any word as to a "ballpark" (within a couple months) time frame to when the 0777 will be hitting the online stores?
Enjoy those new 0560/61's!

This thing was made to slice ;)
I'm seriously proud of Thomas, Jimmer and the team at Kai. They keep blowing me away!
The Tilt is just as amazing!

It took me a while but I've become extremely proficient at opening the 0560 rather quickly via the thumb studs...I made myself learn to use the thumb studs before I'd use the flipper. I LOVE the KVT system (SO SMOOOOTH) and hope that future folders from ZT use it as well.

I cleaned out my office closet today and luckily for me I had almost a dozen double walled cardboard boxes that HAD to be destroyed :D and the 0560 did a wonderful job of slicing them up. It's just an extremely fun knife to use and handle...ZT should be very pleased/proud with how it turned out.

I received notification today from three different vendors that the 561 was in stock. Especially happy to receive a call from the Center of the Knife universe that one was put in the mail on its way to me. Should have it tomorrow.

My preorder number came up from kershawguy , I pre ordered on 11/25/11. I am so excited. Now if only my hds Hi cri 120 would ship out...

I gave mine a pass on the paper wheels and it's been eating phone book pages ever since :D

Thanks for the heads up...3 days late. It's whatever, I paid not too much extra($40 over including shipping). On the plus side(I'm an optimist) I paid a bit more for a knife I have seen already with prefect centering and 40% lockup. Should be here tomorrow or Friday at the latest it looks like. I can't wait to get it in my grubby little paws. I'm gonna flip it open so hard and so often Thomas W will puke.

Any idea about what angle edge bevel they are shipping with?

Not sure of the exact angle, but I do recall Thomas W saying, "It is definitely LoLo!"

curious when the DLC and tigerstripe versions of the 560/561's will be released. I noticed bladehq has them listed.

Damn it! Got the email from Kershaw Guy today, but had to take one of my dogs to the vet this afternoon. A grand later, and I had to fire off an email apologizing for having to bow out. I know he won't have any trouble selling, but I still feel like I wasted his time.

Hope he'll let me get in on the next round or two.

Felt good thinking I was going to have that knife in my hand soon, though!

Mine measured 46 degrees with an angle cube.

Hey guys I have a dumb question. Got my email from Kershawguy Dave my 0560 is in. I never used my Paypal before outside of fleabay. Do I use the send money tab to have them use the card attached to the account? Thanks.

Never mind I figured it out. Got me a 0560 on the way. Yehaw.

I just received my 0561 the other day and I love it. But I did have one problem. I played around with the flipper for a few minutes and it worked perfectly. But when I tried to use the thumb stubs it was like the blade was stuck. So it tried opening it with my left hand (I'm right-handed), and it worked much smoother. I don't know it anyone else has had this problem because I don't feel like reading through over 5000 posts. If you do have this problem, I have come up with a very simple solution. I used the tip of a small flathead screwdriver and gently pushed the ball part of the detent further into its hole and now the blade slides out like butter using either the flipper or the thumb studs. Hope this helps anyone who is having a similar problem.

Your right hand was most likely on the lock bar.

True, if it opens easy with the left hand then your applying too much pressure on the lockbar when trying to open with your right hand...this is rather common until you get use to a new frame lock. With a little practice you'll have it down in no time.
Good luck!
