Very classy. Terrific job on all accounts of this collaboration - Thomas, Tommie, Rick, and others that were involved.

So is this flipper with ELMAX expected to be a standard product rather than the 0551 sprint run of 1000 pieces?

Looks like a definite winner for the ZT line. I already have a 0201 flipper that I love, I can't even imagine how much smoother this could be with that speculated washer system.

Wow, This knife looks incredible! I can't find any fault with it! ITS PERFECT! WELL DONE ZT! I really like the way the handle isn't coated with DLC like the 301 series, and the stone washed blade! I think i'll be buying more then 1...

I'd love to see this with some Pond Scum scales and maybe ranger green with DLC coated blade. And A smaller version of this knife with 3" blade would make for a great EDC knife!

3" with some nice colour scale and maby a spanto grind would be impossible to resist!

I feel 3.75" that puts it in the middle of the XM18 & XM24.

I was looking all over the thread for this info. Thx hunter. A 3.75" Elmax blade is perfect for a working folder that you won't mind getting a little mucky. Outstanding!

Personally I think ELMAX is the best all around knife steel available right now. :D

VERY tough, holds an edge very well, easy to sharpen and will take one heck of an edge and it's VERY rust resistant.

It can be pushed to high hardness (61+ HRC) and not lose much in the way of toughness, it's a VERY strong steel. :)

This is going to be one heck of a fine knife IMO. :D

This knife has become a rollercoaster for me.

At first, I was extremely excited about this blade, until I saw the msrp. I was also a little disappointed in the steel choice at this price point. Then, this render came out, I read a few more reviews on Elmax and I decided to mug my wallet when the time comes.

And yes, for those who are wondering, my wallet mugging will be conducted at knife point. :P

I had the exact opposite reaction about MSRP and materials choice. I don't think price could be more reasonable for what you get. Then again, I have an 0551, so I'm biased. ELMAX takes very well to stropping with compound.
