New ZT/Hinderer Flipper is Coming!!!0560/0561

Wow! Way more information over here.....I had no idea!:o

Been trying to follow this bad boy since I heard about it coming out and here's all the infor I need right under my nose. Geesh....need to get out and wander around the forums a little more!:p

Needless to say....Yah, I'm over this bad boy like white on rice! ZT is top notch in my book and I EDC my 0551 and can't wait for a flipper version. Not too keen on the brown scales but then I know a couple of guys who can mod that issue easily!

Thanks for all the work you've done on this one Rick, and of course ZT knives for making it happen!:D

It's one of those just gotta have knives, great design, Excellent steel. :D

What's wrong with Brown!?

damn thats a nice looking knife for a great price! Keep in mind gentlemen the street price will be same as street price of current 301 knives! That's a heck of a deal!

Personally I think ELMAX is the best all around knife steel available right now. :D

VERY tough, holds an edge very well, easy to sharpen and will take one heck of an edge and it's VERY rust resistant.

It can be pushed to high hardness (61+ HRC) and not lose much in the way of toughness, it's a VERY strong steel. :)

This is going to be one heck of a fine knife IMO. :D

I've re-read this,at least 4 times,grinning :D like the village idiot.

I was very glad to hear Ankerson weigh in on the ELMAX steel.

His opinion,I respect. The man knows steel,no doubt.

Thank Thomas I would say, he made the choice. :)

Has this been confirmed? The 0551 had an MSRP of $250 and they were being sold for $200. I don't know if you can say for a fact that they will be sold for the same price as the 030X series.

What's with the hate for the brown scale? I figured that you'd use the knife and not take it out on a date.

Why would you call it hate? I'm just expressing a preference. I thought that's what these forums were about; or are we all supposed to march in lockstep adoration?

No I'm not taking it on a date; I just happen to like green knives. ;)

Guys, This knife is gonna sell like HOT Cakes! Rick and Thomas are smart. Rick already stated he is gonna make different colored scales. I know I want to see a CF/Sprint run with a crazy super steel but if it doesn't happen this will do just fine. I believe without a shadow of a doubt you will be able to get many colors of scales for this knife. Look at the XM series. It's more money for our friends that offer this amazing knife and more choice for us. It's a Win Win. So don't sweat the Brown "which I like" because I'm sure next year you will be able to PIMP this Bad Boy with many colors!
