Wow! Way more information over here.....I had no idea!
Been trying to follow this bad boy since I heard about it coming out and here's all the infor I need right under my nose. Geesh....need to get out and wander around the forums a little more!
Needless to say....Yah, I'm over this bad boy like white on rice! ZT is top notch in my book and I EDC my 0551 and can't wait for a flipper version. Not too keen on the brown scales but then I know a couple of guys who can mod that issue easily!
Thanks for all the work you've done on this one Rick, and of course ZT knives for making it happen!![]()
Very nice folder Thomas! Brown? Oh well you're the boss.Brown??!!

Personally I think ELMAX is the best all around knife steel available right now.
VERY tough, holds an edge very well, easy to sharpen and will take one heck of an edge and it's VERY rust resistant.
It can be pushed to high hardness (61+ HRC) and not lose much in the way of toughness, it's a VERY strong steel.
This is going to be one heck of a fine knife IMO.![]()
I've re-read this,at least 4 times,grinninglike the village idiot.
I was very glad to hear Ankerson weigh in on the ELMAX steel.
His opinion,I respect. The man knows steel,no doubt.
What's wrong with Brown!?
damn thats a nice looking knife for a great price! Keep in mind gentlemen the street price will be same as street price of current 301 knives! That's a heck of a deal!
What's with the hate for the brown scale? I figured that you'd use the knife and not take it out on a date.![]()
