New ZT/Hinderer Flipper is Coming!!!0560/0561

Somehow I think we're in the minority here wanting a shorter blade! I'd be happiest with a 3 to 3.25" blade also. If I do get one of these I'm sure it'll hardly be EDC'd...just too big for my urban needs. I'm happy for those who are getting what they wanted though, it looks like this is going to be an awesome flipper.

Clamp it in a vice & break the tip off to the desired length and re-shape it on a DMT x-coarse stone or a belt grinder and you'll have a "ZT 0560 Fatty!" :D

ZT doesn't specialize in small knives :D

They may not specialize in small knives buy sure do make some damn good ones. I also wouldn't mind seeing a 3.25 version. Would make an excellent edc imo.

Exactly, for urban EDC I don't really need anything bigger than 3" unless there's a random attack by a stack of zombie copier paper or something. :-)

For woods use, etc I could probably manage something bigger but definitely not for daily pocket carry in the city, especially with summer here and cargo shorts being regularly worn.

This wouldn't be your urban EDC then Zero Tolerance is about big folders guys. Maybe you shou ld get a small Sebenza for work and a ZT 0560 for home - to take hiking & other more rural endeavors. :)

Here's the comparison with the 0350 added.

Yeah maybe someday I'll be able to justify buying a Sebenza. My most expensive knives are around the $130 mark which I know is peanuts for a lot of you guys. I'd quicker get a Hinderer design for the money though. I was gonna get an XM-18 .5" from a buddy but the cost of approx $600 after tax/duty, etc put it out of my league. Too many higher priorities right now, especially with a baby on the way.

How many more days until Blade Show? We should get some awesome pics and vids then.:D:thumbup:

I don't think so. Two different knives really and the fact that the O551 was/is a limited run should keep their price about the same. Just my thoughts.
So do you guys think that this knife will make the prices of 0551's drop?

I thought the same thing when I first came around. "These guys are crazy." :D

The owner of Messerforum.net just posted that Kershaw/Zt told him that the ZT 056x would not be available till 3rd quarter 2012 !!!!?????

Is this for Germany or worldwide ?

Yes I read it as well so I assume "the Germans" will have to wait till next year...

I will try to behave in the German forum and follow John Cleese his instructions to Manuel from Fawlty Towers: "Remember don't mention the war"...

Finally......we get to see this thing in action!!! Love it. Here's my only pet peeve; don't kill me for it. I wish they made a recess for the clip to sit into like on the XM series. I think it would have made for a much cleaner look. Maybe they'll make some tweaks after the feedback at Blade Show. Still going to get two if they don't though!
