New ZT0550 Thread !!!

Kirk, your 0551 left yesterday and is in route. You should see it soon.

Thank you Thomas, I was checking the private message that you sent me, just saw this. I wish the customer service people were as responsive and helpful (and accurate with their info) as you.

Why so angry Kirk_Ferentz? Pump the brakes and chill out. :D

I think you own STeven an apology. He is nothing but helpful and only tried to bring a little levity to the situation (you raging about a knife "rabble rabble, rabble.") That was not very nice of you. Just sayin.

Well you inspired me to go back and read his post again with an open mind ... you know, so I could see all the helpfulness that I must have missed the first time when I was so busy with all of my "raging"
What I found? A douche who likes to run his mouth.

Saying that I am not having a good experience with kershaw's customer service = "raging." Right.

That's funny, reading your post I came upon the same conclusion!

Funny, you don't have to look very far to find one of those, do ya? Closest mirror, perhaps?

The REAL Kirk Ferentz would be disgusted by you.

Whoa, I've stayed out of this so far.....but you're on the road to getting this thread locked and/or getting yourself some chicklets for outright insults. Your knife is on the way back to you, you got taken care of, it's time to cool your jets. I don't see where all your angst is really coming from. This is, after all, just a knife we're talking about. (Whoa, did I just say that!!??:D)

You're relatively new here, and maybe you haven't gotten all the dynamics of this site down just yet. Steven will call it like he sees it. Sometimes you'll agree, other times you'll disagree, but if you can't take discussion here with a grain of salt, then you need to quit posting and lurk more. "A douche who likes to run his mouth"? Really? We all like to run our mouths.....about knives. That's why we're here, it's what DISCUSSION forums are all about, running our mouths about a topic.

If you decide to bash a company's customer service on a public forum before they have even had a chance to fully resolve your issue, don't be surprised if you get some responses that you don't like from the community, especially when said company has what most consider to be a stellar customer service track record.

Hope you enjoy your knife:thumbup:

another subject,on the box it said green handle. was green in work's and x out or is green going to be a option later on? love to have a olive green one!

Agree,rolexkid!
olive green G-10...
blaze orange carbon fiber...
this knife would look great in any color.

Excellent post johhnymac!

The condescending tone is unwarranted Kirk_Ferentz. I'm happy you have your knife now. May it bring you many years of mail opening, package tearin' fun for years to come. Don't be so angry and spiteful, it's the holiday season.

Great post Charlie! The problem with these sites is that people forget that there are real people behind these messages. Unfortunately, as such civility is usually the first casualty. They behave in a manner and\or write things that they would never say to each other in an actual face to face exchange.

It's an unfortunate side effect. I'm sure if we could all actually see each other, the tone of these exchanges would be very different.

I got my email yesterday from Kershawguy. I will be receiving mine this week. I can't wait! I hadn't planned on buying one after all the delays. The wait for the knife was killing me so to fill the void I ended up with a Large Sebenza, a Bark River Fox River and a Kershaw JYDII:D But now that you all keep posting beautiful pics it left me with no other choice but to buy it. Damn you all!;)

I'm usually not a betting man,but....I'll bet $5 that Thomas W. never took any time off!

Not sure how we'd prove it,one way or another.

Tomorrow is Monday; we'll have mail again.
Still snowing here.
And wind chill is projected @ -6*F at daybreak.
My fine 0551 may need defrosting, when I get home from work tomorrow night.
Because I got a feeling it's almost home...in time for the Holidays!

Global Warming, my donkey.(Because I don't think we're s'posed to say ass.)

Snow may get axle-deep to a Ferris wheel.

Actually,I hope I never see snow again,and I don't wanta go blind.

Time to strop the Spec Bump.

I just got an email from BHQ stating they are taking preorders on this knife for the going street rate for anyone still looking to get on a list. They stated late December or early January as their expected delivery. Just a heads up for those looking to get on a list that probably isn't full yet.

anyone know the spec for the knife?

people keep mentioning it a lot but I don't see any specs for the knife around
weight?
overall length?
blade length?

I didn't go to the ZT website because MFG sites seem so slow sometimes :D But according to BHQ they post this:

Specifications:
Overall Length: 8.125"
Blade Length: 3.5"
Weight: 5.8 oz.
Blade Steel: Elmax
