WOW, you know that feeling when you are about to puke and your palms start sweating like crazy... THAT JUST HAPPENED.

I am so glad the 551 list is not gone. I cant even imagine the CHAOS that would have ensued!!

I think my 550 and 551 order was before that.

Smart fella! ;)

First of all please read this whole post before you go nuts, I have got all email addresses written in a tablet for 0551 preorder list and the standby (overflow) list, that being said, I had a comp. problem today and I lost all emails after the 23rd of last month and those of you that wanted to be on the 0550 production model list that may have emailed me on or around that date, should do it again, I did not have the 0550 requests written down, to repeat this is only for the 0550 ( next years model) not the 0551 that is coming to a location near you soon. :):)

I just emailed Kershawguy again,to let him know I want both the ZT 0551 & ZT 0550 plus I want on any future ZT/Hinderer collaboration pre-order list.

I had requested the ZT 0550 also, back on 12Sept., but just in case....

Thanx,Kershawguy,for the heads-up.

I can only imagine how you felt, when you discovered....

I hope everybody saved the return email Dave sent back confirming their place on either list.

Then you just have to forward it back to him to help him out.

Well atleast he didn't lose the 551 list... plenty of time on the 550. Now.. where's the illusive Mr. Thomas?

Agree,Gator33324!
I forwarded him the whole string of our emails from the beginning...and there's been several...that'll be a nightmare, for Kershawguy to sort thru everybody's requests, again.
And a computer snafu could happen to any of us.
Anytime.
Dammit. They're about as stable as jello.
If Kershawguy doesn't get into the Blade Hall of Fame, there is no justice!
For those who haven't nominated someone, please go vote!

P.S. Now I'll head into the nearest town & buy a hard-drive thingy...:grumpy:...My sons say it's a backup, in case my laptop hurls chunks and decomposes.Said it was around $100.Was never worth it 'til now.
 I shudder to think about what it would be like in Resume Speed,KY if mine died, and I had no proof I was on the pre-order list....or lost my Contacts list...or lost all my handloading files...Kinda scary to think how infrequently I write stuff down.

If they were just emails, you could save them in a special folder on hotmail or gmail or yahoo or where ever and then access it from anywhere in the world, from any pc.

Good advice!

That's what I do with some important documents from internet souces or downloads of PDF files that I don't want cluttering up my PC with, or some that are too long to print and waste ink and paper on.

I attach them to an email and send a copy to (2) of my Gmail accounts. If I crash and burn - they're still safe, so I can grab my laptop and access them in my Gmail account if needed.

It's also good for your resume.

If somebody asks, you can just forward an email with it as an attachment from anywhere, even most phones.

(Sorry, didnt mean to stray off topic...)

This is a good point for all to remember, I have Juno and it is a computer based program, so all emails and email folders are on my computer and not in cyberspace. I probably should start doing Juno web-mail and save in folders off my computer. Thankfully I do backup my files fairly often and when something is real important, it gets written down as well. So no worries on the 0551 guys , that info is written in a notebook and resides in the gun safe at all times.

wait till you guys see what i have in line for mine

the downside is i wont get it till christmas-ish. maybe a little after.

I appreciate the advice about emailing to myself.
I did have my emails to Kershawguy archived on my gmail. And got his reply,as always: amazingly quick, considering how daym busy he's bound to be!
But I have lotsa stuff I'd miss if it went belly-up, midstream.
:grumpy: I have a seven-year old Grandson  who knows more about the computer than I do!:(

Time to shove the thread back up the steps!
