I just got word that the street price on this bad boy is $200.

Oh, seems someone thought to start another thread. I think we should avoid that upstart.

What steel is the the 0550 posed to have ?

The 0551 same config with elmax, I havent read thru all the posts in this thread, scuse me :).

OK, love the design, love the elmax steel, love the fact its a ZT, but simply hate the clip...

It might not be so bad because its a smaller knife and seems ok on the 0350 but I didn't like it on the 03xx. Its nice because its small but that doesn't leave much for a good grip when trying to get it from your pocket.

Anyone else feel this way???

Yup. Kersaw - ZT clips have always been a trainwreck, IMHO. I love the knives so much I've never really posted this before. Some guys might think these little clips or the crazy, over-done JYD 2 clips are cool. I don't likey. :)

I actually really like the ZT clips. They are a good no nonsense design IMO. They don't stick way out like most so they are much more comfortable in hand when you're doing a lot of cutting and they hold the knife in the pocket very tightly. However I do agree about the big flashy clips like on the JYD, those things are hideous!

I also like the ZT clips. Simple, straight forward, not curvy or crazy. It's just a good and solid clip that does it's job well.

I agree that they are out of the way and look good but I would love to see a emerson style clip.

I like to have my hand in a proper position to deploy the blade once removed from the pocket and these smaller clips always leave my hand at the butt of the knife. I like everything to flow and repositioning my hand to open the knife does not = flow

IDK, making the clip a little longer might solve the issue... hint hint :)
