Thanks Thomas. Do you forsee any drastic changes in the overall design (not necessarily talking size)?

I really don't see anything drastic. I think Rick was really happy with how the piece turned out. Heck it was the hit of the show at our booth, much more so than the Tilt. I was really surprised it didn't win an award.

In any case, I appreciate the enthusiasm, it's great to hear from all of you!

Me too. It was a spot on interpretation and direct descendant of a folder from (arguably) the hottest piece of intellectual property in the industry right now.... that is, IMO ;):D
 
I keep coming back to this thread numerous times a day every since I found it.
I think I'm getting obsessed with this knife.:eek:
 
I'm surprised this question didn't come up yet, but what's the blade thickness? I'm really hoping its gonna be in the 5/32 or 3/16 range! I don't want any 1/8 action here, not with this knife!

And I was thinking about how thin that lockbar cutout looked too! But hopefully from what Thomas said, they'll gear it up right :-)

And the blade length, yeah, i hope there's a bigger version that's in the 4" range with a longer flipper/guard! That'd be the money shot for me right there!

So, blade thickness, any word on that??

Looks like 5/32" (.156) from the pics. Most of the ZT's fall in that size as well as the Tyrades.

Appreciate the response. I am really interested in this design it looks like it will be a tough user. Although, different knife for different environments. The Tilt looks like a very well planned gentlemens folder. First thought that comes to mind on that design is "contemporary". I'm also looking forward to seeing it in person, both will be a hit without a doubt. :thumbup:
 
While I believe the 0550 looks like it should when you consider the collaborators working on it, the Tilt that Tommie came up with is just gorgeous.
I will definitely get a plethora of each.

Awesome drop point! The Tilt looks a lot bigger than I thought it would be. I was thinking maybe something between a Blur and a 0350. More substantial I see, but hey it's an awesome design.

But for the sake of everything holy... please make it with a low carry pocket clip! At least have the option!
 
No way!!! For me a low ride clip= PITA to remove and get proper grip on the knife for deployment. Obviously design could change this a bit but I still rather have something to grab on to. Just my 0.02

We get a weight on this yet? did I miss that?
 
I definately want one. It is a linerlock ? A Flipper ? To me, it looks more like a strider smf than anything from hinderer. I still want one. I love my ZT301 and this will go right along with it.
