Newest ZT0770 variant

I'm not interested in anything AO but congrats to Derrick for putting this deal together.
I'm also not a fan of AO. In fact, the only other AO I own is a Damascus Leek. But the 0770CF is so unique among ZT offerings that its AO isn't a deal-breaker for me. I'm just not willing to walk away from what could be the only knife ZT ever makes that's suitable for me over a spring.

I doubt that I would ever buy another A/O, unless ZT makes another one that I just have to have. I haven't had much luck deassisting any of them except the 0350. I so dearly wish that the 0566 wasn't A/O. I know some have had good luck desisting theirs - I haven't.

Me three on the AO thing, it's just an annoyance. That said, my 0770cf flips quite well (I know others have not had the same experience). Even with it so tight that I have trouble closing it one handed, it still flips:

Congrats to Derrick on the 1st exclusive! Great way to start because that is a beauty!

Just wish ZT would use kvt in this knife...the price justifies the use of it...as much as I liked my 0770cf, I sold it, after having the kvt knives I find myself needing it!

the new carbon fibre pattern and black dlc blade looks fantastic, and this would be an absolute home run if kvt was used....still pretty sweet knife

Interesting, but not for 240......

MAYBE if it was a manual running on bearings, but as of right now I'll have to pass. Still cool though. I like the new cf:thumbup:

Love it! Just wish it was around the $200 mark instead. Then I'd be able to somewhat justify it. Congrats on the 1st exclusive! I'm sure this will do very well!

I like the new CF pattern. Sets the knife apart from the other variants, but for the price difference, I'd have to go with the M390, if I wanted another one - mainly because the M4 on this one is run a bit softer than my Spyderco GB and I'm not particularly attracted to coated blades. Guess my Elmax 0770CF will have to do, for now. :)

Yep - dealer exclusive if you didn't catch that. Just became available today I believe.

I just ordered a CF BM940 too; now I gotta drop another $240 to get this one. Hehehe...

I hope I get a low serial number. :)

I'm curious why there seems to be a lot of people that dislike the assisted opening. I quite like it on the ZT models that I have with it, why do people dislike it and de-assist these knives?

The 0770CF is the only knife I can tolerate assisted opening. (other than the leek)

would love to own one of these CFM4's some day.

I'm certainly tempted. They appear to be selling quickly as they had 300+ when I first looked. I noticed that the retail price is $200 but their price is higher..... maybe a typo...? Anyway, I really like my 0770CF a lot and I have carried it pretty much every days since getting it when they first came out. It is a great size for me.

Retail is $280. I think it is unclear with the strike through. I had a little heart attack there. :)

Sorry Derrick. I had a hard time reading the number. Glad you cleared that up. I know we're not supposed to mention price here, but when I looked over your ad, that jumped out at me. I know that this is REALLY a nice knife!
