I'm kind of surprised this thread has made it four pages with no one mentioning the lower HRC than other production companies doing M4. I assume this was to increase toughness? Kind of fits with the whole ZT brand, especially when there is already an M390 variant for those who want maximal edge retention.
They've got it listed at 60-62. What's the usual rating for M4? I'm not too familiar with this steel.
Benchmade 810 Contego has CPM-M4 with a hardness of 62-64.
I'd be interested to know the hardness on the Spyderco Gayle Bradley & Air but I believe it's about 62.
Now, if they would just make it a little larger . . .
Here are the two different carbon fibers....

So, does anyone know if this new CF pattern is exclusive to this new model, or is ZT going to use it on future offerings? It really reminds me of the CF being used on my GT Helix which is just amazing.

They've used a similar CF pattern on the 0620CF and 0350CFM390.

Beautiful knife.
Does anyone know the thickness of the blade stock? And the shoulder width of the edge grind? The KSF video says it's a great slicer, but I don't know any ZT knife that's a good slicer. And ZT's trademark bulbous tip makes detail work difficult.
Even though I don't like spring assists and I like blades a little larger, this one is tempting. And the ZT's build quality iooks incredible, as usual.
"We have 250 of them and 250 more coming soon."

So 500 piece run..
Can this one be de-assisted like the older aluminum ones? or is there no detent hole like the newer CF models? I might just have to get one if I can take the assist out.
