NEWS FLASH! - HOLD THE PRESS we have a second winner!

Great post guys, I'll pick a winner Sat. night sometime.

All DAVISON'S - one collector. -

The give away knife does have the sunken joint, so that helps on the pocket wear.
Todd pinned a few folders as this one is, and some folks questioned if it was strong enough. Todd new it was because he had checked.
Doing a bend test, like if someone would ever use a knife as a pry bar.

Few more photos for you all.

Out fishing with grandpa...... :)
An old knife friend we found here and has since gone to the big knife show above. He loved Todd's knives and had few of them.
Holger was a member here (AKA - cockroachfarms) sure miss him, he had a great way with words.
And Todd always got inspiration from the Master T Bose. Made friends with Rick & Brett and talks knives with
them a lot. Put in a photo of my grandpa, hung out with him lot when I was younger, sure miss him.

Been mentioned that Todd is like Sam Elliot, but is really weird. Are the similarities between Wyatt Earp & Doc Holiday and Todd and me.
But that is a whole other story in it self, but put in a photo of Doc.

Todd's file work always amassed me, Bill Ruple looked at the rifle Todd filed and was blown away, he went had four other guys come look at it.

So we should know by Sunday who's the lucky winner.

Honestly the fine individuals here are one of my favourite parts of most days. No matter if we are just pretending and are jerks in real life (doubt it!), the actions, comments and community here probably help more people relax and get to a good place than anybody realizes. After/during a bad day it isn't odd to come here and be soothed just because of the interactions of everybody here!

My main focus in life:

Why, because these goobers pick them each morning and I get to have a piece of my children's personality in my pocket, and I get to think of my kids every time I cut something!!

The "zebra knife" is actually my daughters because she fell in love with it, but keeps it with its twin in my collection and chooses it for me semi-regularly!

Thank you for the generous giveaway! I would certainly put the giveaway knife in my pocket and use it to cut stuff as was intended for all knives under the sky!!! :)

Todd is a great maker and guy. My first slip joint I owned was a custom he did for me. Thanks for the chance!

This is a very generous giveaway. I've never won one but maybe I'll get lucky! Thanks for the chance.

Guacamole!

Definitely count me in, never had a custom slipjoint. But I have heard a lot of good things about Todd and his knives. Good luck to all!

Please count me in! Here's the only knife I've ever assembled, with my favorite little buddy holding it. :) It was his first "knife" last year for his birthday.

Well, I just told a story that involved guacamole in another thread. I've also never owned a custom folder before. So count me it.

For something interesting I'll toss in this image. My wife took the initial photo from the back of the bike one day we were out riding. I cropped and tweaked the photo, added the jigsaw filter, and came up with the line.

One cool photo deserves another. This one is on the way from Sturgis to the Badlands...

I have a Davison on order at the moment... can't wait for it to arrive!

Great giveaway Al :) Loving the pics

I was lucky enough to win buckle #61 a while back :)

I'll throw in for a chance at that lovely knife and the car-wash token if I may :)

I'm in, thanks. I keep a folder with a pic of all of Todd's new knives as they come out. Big fan.

Such a cool give-away, and a rare one at that!

Thank you Al, and especially Todd for the chance...I have tried to add what is cool...ok...you asked..

My mates in here in Traditionals - they are a pretty cool bunch of guys-thats for sure!

My mates - whom have been my very good mates for 35 years - thats priceless, - we lost a great one a while back - one of life's terrible blows! Because he was a really cool Guy - Gary was-or is his name, and he will always be in my mind - one of lifes great guys you meet.

My Wife is absolutely cool - shes a sweetheart, a lovely, lovely friend who I know I am lucky to have in my life.

My daughters - wow...I dont think there is enough room to explain how proud I am of these two lovely wee things - even though they are grown up now - they are still my babies, and I think they are cool and I am really proud of how they are living their lives - they are good people.
My Step Daughter, a pretty young thing who has life at her feet - shes doing so well - shes happy and thats great to see, her Brother-my Step Son- he is pretty cool alright-he plays guitar, hes doing music engineering - he reckons he can beat me up - so I always have to prove the point who the Alpha male is of the house:D, we have a great time wrestling it out - and I make him pay for even thinking on taking me on - man its funny!

Heres the bunch of us at our Wedding - great kids, great Wife..

Pictured with Sue ( my Wife ) here is my wee friend Izzy,
She is a rescue dog, the vet couldnt believe it when I took her in...this was a cool night - let me tell you..
Sue and I were looking at the computer - we were looking at Murphy'd photos - we had to put him down as he had Cancer beind his eye-which had filled up his eye socket - tumor wise...my lovely wee fella had to go at the age of 2 &1/2...now HE was a cool little fella - so here we were looking at his photos - and we had a few tears as we lost him very recently to that...I turned off the computer and we heard a very faint whimpering - we turned each other and we heard it again...i opened up the door and here she was ...her whole face was just amassed with Fleas - she was beside herself with irritation - she had Mange and her little wee bones were all poking through - her hip bones I was afraid of almost tearing though her skin - I stopped counting at 200 fleas, Fleas bathed her in the Bathroom handbasin...and here she is now...She is lovely, has cost me thousands and thousands with operations - is quite timid and insecure - but she is happy with her life...and that to me is worth everything - and she is my mate and she is pretty darned cool

Al, after the draw, could you tell us about the photo in your Avatar please - I think I remember you saying something about it a while ago - but I just cannot remember.
Thank for the chance, and everyone - good luck!

Hey Al,
You are VERY GENEROUS with Your give away.
This is NOT AN ENTRY as I would like to give someone else a chance to appreciate Your T.A. Davison folder.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL WHO ENTER.
Al showed me #184 about a year ago when my wife and I visited with him. It is a REALLY COOL little folder.
I am shocked to see him part with it ( maybe not so much ) AL is a GREAT guy not to mention a BRAINIAC.
I had the privledge of assisting Al with getting the belt buckles made.
Here is a photo of " model knife " # 977 that Todd made to his specifications to be shown on the buckle.
Besides being a DEDICATED SKILLED CRAFTSMAN, Todd is a REAL GENTLEMAN that I am proud to know.

Count me in. What a neat little knife. Never owned a custom so thanks for the chance. Really love this time of year. Here is a quick photo I took of a huge hickory tree and a few of my favorite slip joints.

I'd love to be considered in this great giveaway. Something special to me, and something cool that happened to me this year was the birth of my third daughter. Going to be crazy around here in a few years when we have three teenage
Here is a pic of me and the little one and the older girls at a local farm.

Beautiful sentiment, great story, and generous gaw! My love of fine knives comes second to my love for my children... so, in the spirit of this gaw, here are a couple of pics --by the way, I'm totally in!

That's cool. Thanks for posting that! A lot of great tales and some real and touching family and friend sentiment.

Awesome giveaway!
The kids are at the top of my list, with my 15 month
old son helping take the edge off having 4 teenagers!
I thank you for the opportunity, his knives have always
been out of reach for me, but I have many pics stored.
I enjoy this site and aapk, and single blade traditional
slippies are at the top of my knife list.

A Davison Wharncliffe is one of my grail knives, and its what has had me looking towards traditionals. That said, aside from a couple of SAKs I only have a few Wharcliffe traditionals that will hopefully hold me over.

Count me in, beautiful knifes you build. I've coveted those that I've seen here. Thanks for the opportunity!
