From the votes it looks like I will be getting a Skinner, really need a break from the chopper price ranges after the standard and light chopper and k20.2 . I would like to get a dek1 , 2 and 3 . But have been dreaming of that kukri . Just take mt money all ready . How about a delta Billy club that my wife can beat me with ? This need everything feeling is a sickness .

Dang Nathan the Machinist Nathan the Machinist how you gonna do us like that? Make us make a decision between the Skinner and Kuk??? 😢 The Kuk and design has been on the back burner way long, let’s get it made 😃

That said my vote is for a Kukri, would be so amazing! A very close 2nd though would be the Skinner, also amazing.

I hate to be that guy, but please do both the Kuk and Skinner preorders šŸ™ šŸ™ šŸ™ They are just too different to pick one or the other

I have sooo many knives the size of a Skinner .... but only two Kukris. One of them from Ohio which is not a sustainable situation. I mean, have you seen this thing ? !!!

And then, anybody else likes their Nathan/Lorien co-designs as much as I do ? I.e., DEK, FK2, HDFK .... think about it.

Isn’t the skinner the oldest on the list? My opinion is it should be remade first. (You know what they say about opinions) Or the new Kuk is fine too. Seems the DEK’s were just run a couple years ago and the SDFK’s before them.

Skinner & Kuk 2025

SDFK/ HDFK & DEK’s 2026

Or scrap all those and make a Bowie šŸ˜Ž

Having just had the chance to see Non.Nisi.Te Non.Nisi.Te ’s skinner, I’m going to offer some thoughts, unsolicited and I’ll wager wholly unappreciated.

It’s a cute little knife. The danger is in assuming the simple look means it’s simple to make.

It isn’t.

At least, not the way Nate and crew do it.

For that knife to be done properly, it needs to be hand ground. In that shop, anyway. It’s not like the side project that the original skinners were, as AIM at that time was a machine shop, doing real work, and the knife stuff was a side gig.

This is me talking out my ass, but my ass is pretty well educated by knifemaker ass standards, and I’ll wager that a reasonable price for something akin to the original skinner should be in the $700 range, given today’s market.

Now, having dropped this stinking turd right here, I’ll leave you to talk amongst yourselves.
