Untill you post EDC and Behemother on the Exchange ... see which one sells first.
True true

I wonder how M MattinLA feels about the Kukri and which way he voted 🤔

Man that CPK Kukri would be so epic and another giant evolution landmark for CPK. I’m sure it might make Nathan pull his short hairs out this time as it’s probably going to be a difficult one

Mat, the DEK3 doesn’t require any hand grinding, outside of basic tool mark removal. The skinners are hollow ground, and it’s a very thin hollow grind. There’s no way to accelerate that process, or automate it outside of buying a hollow grinding machine, which likely still won’t work because of the temperature sensitivity issues with the alloys used. That means monkey meat powered grinding, which means time, and increased use of obscenely expensive belts. It’s not a fair comparison, and why I was pointing out that despite it appearing similar or ‘simple’, it isn’t, and those parallels can’t really be drawn.

I stand by my number - once you take into account the additional variables, there’s no way it can be done under $700 without CPK losing their asses in the venture.
No comment on the pricing, just to mention that the DEK3 is a pretty thin hollow grind also.

It was a struggle, but I bowed to the Kukri

🤘🍺🤘

^ Thank you for covering for me ;)

I just had to stop on my way to Walmart yo type that hence the reason for taking DEK3 as my guideline, the only pattern which CPK had offered as a hollow grind. I know that there are many Mark variants but that’s the only one with HG as standard, so far.

Matt do you always chit on the floor every where you go?

Everywhere.

I think the boot dagger has 4 machined twisted hollow grinds

Perhaps I’m mistaken, but I’m pretty sure that the skinner is ground a lot thinner than the DEK3. I could easily flex the edge of Stephen’s knife over my thumbnail.

The boot dagger is nowhere near as thinly ground. And, it was absurdly underpriced. Just because he does it doesn’t mean that he can afford to do it.
