I called this midway through the season. The NFC was the better conference this season. I, however, do not believe the "true superbowl" was the NFC championship game. Had Andy Dalton not crapped the bed in The Chargers vs Bangles game, Cinci probably would have won the AFC and the super bowl would have been far closer. The Bangles have an awesome offense-better than Seattle-and their defense is top five. Sadly, Andy Dalton can't play consistently enough to get them anywhere. The Super Bowl was a poor matchup for Manning. He no longer has the arm strength to beat the 4-3 under. If they add two more teams to each side in the playoffs next year, it will be very interesting. With respect to next season's championship and the thought that the NFL champion will again come from the NFC west, I can't agree with that. There are teams that are a draft pick or free agent signing away from being the best team in the league. The NFV west can't always expect that they will get amazing match ups. Hell, you throw Aaron Rodgers and The Packers into that NFC championship game, and I see his arm making every difference in the world. There are a lot of good teams out there and not all of them will fall like The Broncos did. You put Gronk back on The Pats, they win the AFC championship and a Seattle/New England Super Bowl becomes the game of the century.
