Nice EDC for $500 ?

CRK, Hinderer and Bodega field grade would all be great. For half the money you might also want to look at the Spyderco Southard. Very versatile 3.5 inch blade, CTS-204P steel, fast to deploy, and fits a pocket much better than the "larger" knives. All a matter of taste...

I was interested in the Southard except for the fact that it has a flipper. I'm not a flipper fan at all. Which rules out a bunch of knives actually ��
 
Unique and great: Wilson Combat Star-Tac Titanium Framelock. It's made by Chris Reeve Knives and basically it's one of the new CRK Umnumzaan. I have one and highly recommend it.
