Nice little experience just now with CS's online ordering

Still waiting for my 12/9 order. CS is still not answering their phones. There is still no confirmation, tracking, and I don't have access to the account I created a month ago. Class act!
I guess I will have to dispute the charge on Monday if nothing happens.

That's what I was going to do also - dispute the charges on my credit card - if I got my bill before the knives and there was no further communication with CS. Fotunately the knives showed up. Hope yours do too.

I wonder how long it will be (if ever) until the public actually knows the nitty-gritty of the CS/GSMO deal? Details like the price paid, CS's financial shape at the time of the deal, the condition of their supply chain, the impact of the pandemic on CS, which key CS employees remain with GSMO, what will CS/GSMO's catalog offerings look like, will LCT offer items like blowguns and spears under another label, etc, etc., etc?

Until then, to whine about negative potential as if it's reality, is worse than ridiculous.
Just a few notes:

  • Lynn Clement Thompson will be 67 next March. Yeah, he looks pretty good for his age, which is retirement age for many.
  • Depending on the listing service, his house/horse ranch in Oak View, CA has been for sale for 90-100+ days.
  • It appears that Mr. Thompson has purchased real estate in Natalia, TX.

He looks like he is in his 50s. I can't imagine him staying in Cali.

My Shanghai Warrior finally arrived today. Maybe GSMO/CS will have something interesting next Christmas, lol.
Now I'm crossing my fingers that the Knifecenter order for the 4 Max Scout comes in.
Discontinued Smatchet Machete, and Warrior.

its better than commiefornia
Not really, no.

Sure, if you were to compare someplace like perhaps Stockton or Modesto, CA to Austin, TX, Texas would shine. But LCT lived in Ventura County, CA a nice place. Like most of TX, Natalia isn't an intrinsically nice place. It's a lot more like Stockton or Modesto, CA. Leave the mess in Texas.

You're right, Texas is definitely nothing special. Spread the word around Cali and convince people to stop moving here (Lynn is welcome though).

Did you happen to know that Texas is named after the word "Tejas", which is the Caddo word for "friend"? It's a pretty inaccurate title. Unless you're in Dallas, nowhere in the state lives up to the name. Not. One. Single. Place. Really not a nice place to live.

Yup, nothing to see around here. Definitely not much going on.

And, obviously, the Mexican food in Cali is definitely better. Y'all keep making fish tacos seasoned with cabbage and sour cream and prove me right. I think y'all have a barbq place around too, right? It's probably better than anything down here.

Yup. Nothing to see here.

Stockton and Modesto are ranch land? I never knew...

As I said, "leave the mess in Texas."
