No love for the large 25?

A couple of drops of blue Loctite and the rotating stop pin is a non issue. While I do like the Inkosi I prefer the face side of the knife to have more than one rigid point of attachment. The 25 gives me that. I am not a fan of floating stop pins.
I thought the logic behind the floating stop pin was to better enable the scales to be exactly parallel rather than ensuring the screw down lock pin and screw down pivot were EXACTLY the same length. Maybe that's a wives' tale?

The tolerances on the 25 are tight. The shouldered stop pin and barrel spacer/lanyard pin are shouldered so they technically are what are keeping the scales parallel. The stop pin having another screw aids in keeping the scale true on the stop pin and leaves the pivot completely out of doing that. Kinda similar to how the 21 does it.

But is a well broken in 25 smoother than a well broken in Inkosi? My 25 is so butta smoove. My Inkosi is no where’s close... yet.

Chris was still with the company when the 25 came out. The first batch of 25's have a pinned stop pin. the spacer is stationary. CRK then changed to the removable stop pin sometime in 2013. From pics I've seen, I'd guess March/April timeframe.
He was also responsible for the design of the Inkosi although not in day to day operations when it was released.

I have two Micarta inlaid 25s, a right-handed one with the finer stonewash blade finish and a lefty with the newer more-sparkly and coarser stonewash finish.

I see no reason to purchase an Inkosi, they are too close in overall design for me to see the reason to go Inkosi over my 25s.

They are ALL nice knives!
