IM sure I am going to open myself up for attack but I got to say my piece! I have e-mailed spyderco a few times about their new balisong coming out soon and they never replied back to my dissatisfaction! I guess someone is getting a little to big for their britches and they will never receive my business again or any one I can talk to! But on the positive side I recently have been dealing with Charlie from Anza knives about my new boddington and when it comes to costumer service they are the example to follow!

e-mail is a pain.
Most companies get tons of it and answering all of it is a real commitment.
Most probably gets treated like spam unless you are familiar and dealing directly with someones account.
Try giving them a call.

Because thats a pretty silly reason to write off a company like Spyderco.
Now if they blow you off in person on the phone thats a little different.

Otherwise, well, I gotta say its pretty much your loss.

That is unarguably the stupidest reason to abandon a knife company ever .

Too big for their britches? Ha. Sal is a BF.com member, he loves input, and takes time out. Of course, you'd know that, but since you just registered I bet you wouldn't have taken the time. And if you're going to be an A-hole and tell everyone you hate them, tell them the inane reason why so they don't think it's something serious. Good luck finding a company with the kind of service that Sal and Co offer.

Well, I'd like to say my "piece" too, I am too peaceful to do that. Suffice it to say, that your first post on these forums gives a great idea of what a thoughtful, intelligent person you are.

I hope the Big Wigs get back to you.

BTW, you might try posting in the Spyderco forum.

Oh, I forgot, you never looked past the General Discussion thread.

Yeeahh, riiight. Put the bong down and back away slowly, wait a few hours then read your post again. Do you suppose you're the only guys asking about the Spyderfly? And besides, what do you want to know that hasn't already been posted on the forum? If you want a more personaly response, why don't you try posting on they Spyderco forum instead of just starting a bitchfest here in general? I think you'll find Sal to be one of the most hands-on company heads you'd ever like to meet.

Wow! You're pretty damn special that everyone needs to cater to you like that. I also suppose that Spyderco is purposely avoiding you because you are not happy with their new product? It couldn't be that they are back logged or anything of that sort. Did you even bother calling them? Well, I honestly hope that your most valuable input gets to Spyderco. I mean, without it, Spyderco might fail or worst....make a knife that YOU don't like! Sheesh:rolleyes:
Matt

independent,

go check out the Spyderco forum and I think you'll change your mind. Spyderco is a very customer oriented company and known for listening to their customers. It's really your loss if you don't give them a second chance.

Do you realize you just said you were satisfied with their email response?

Whatever floats your boat guy, since your tastes run to fixed blades made from file steel, Spydies might just be a wee bit too high tech for you anyway. If you first post here is any indication of your logic and style when talking to someone in person, gotta think that most of the folks you bad-mouth Spyderco to will already have pegged you as being a total a$$hat.

independent,

You might want to give Spyderco a phone call if email is too slow for you. 1-800-525-7770.

Welcome to BladeForums.

A first post slam. No location or other personal info. How many other troll indicators can we find?

What a putz!

Independant - get a life, you loser. Thats the sorriest bunch of crap I ever heard.

Spyderco has more important things to do than sit around and do nothing but answer a hundred piddly little questions about a single one of their products emailed in by someone who cant even use proper english.
Want a fast responce, call or use the forum, ask all your questions at once, if the Spyderco folks dont respond someone who knows will. Otherwise, stop your whining.

BTW - "to my dissatisfaction" means that their replies never made you un-happy. If you knew proper english, you toad, you would say "to my satisfaction".

Guess what - if you get your panties in a wad and go off in a huff, it wont hurt Spyderco in the least. Like I said before, get a life.

Troll.

Think everyone's about covered it. You didn't do one thing right, but I guess ther'es always a chance you might realize that from everyone's posts here and fix it.

That being said, i've always found Sal and company very helpful, and in a reasonable time frame, both through email and posting on the forums.

I sent 765657 E-mails to the White House and they never responded.

I sent 345 E-mails to Mrs. Bush and she never responded

I sent 11 E-mails to Congress and NO ONE answered them
and yup, 656786221 E-mails to the Senate and you guessed it.

I sent 9897678 E-mails to my State Governor and zippo.

I made ONE phone call to the Russian Embassay and someone answered the phone!!!

Maybe if you called Sal you could become a Commie too!!

E-mails suck for important communications and your reasoning for not buying Spyderco is flawed. See above.
