Well make that two for me. Just pulled the trigger on #2 for less than I paid for #1 :). Here is the likk to the completed auction 300233487454. It said they had two for sale...maybe I should have taken them both????

I've actually shown some restrain. I sorta want one, but they ain't exactly a lot of pigs to stick around these parts! :D

EDIT:so much for that, I just bought one. The seller only lives about 45 minutes from me, should be here quick!

I am guessing that this is the company that bought all the rest that Buck had... They are a closeout retailer. Buck probably sold all they had to them, for their dealer price. Buck sells knives at full retail on the website so they dont compete with their retailers. They probably got each knife for $37.50...
Theres a few models of Buck knives on the net, that certain retailers bought out the last of Bucks stock (in those models). They are also well below what Buck had them for.
 
Jim, I think you're correct with your line of thinking.....Dave...put me down for 4, as I bought another one; but they won't reside with me, all 4 are to be handed out as gifts, to my sons & 2 nephews.

Put me down for 2 as I just bought them on fleabay. I have 3 son's so I will keep them all..Maybe trade for a damascus buckmaster in the near future ;). Man I am so happy as Buck is completly out and I didnt even know about this knife until this post was first written.I love these tactical type large knives.. It will look good next to my General,Buckmaster,Fieldmaster,Intrepid,Strider's,890/650 Build out ,and dare I say Camillus BKT 9.

I got one of mine off of J/D and I beleive so did clydetz, and another found me at the medowlands flea market, the story i got was that they were a special order gone sour! I had the intention of flipping them but I think for the pittance that I paid, they are quite good in the safe. I know gary collects buck avidly!
 
It will be interesting to see how many of these get put up before they run out. At the price they're being offered for I couldn't resist.
