"These were bought as closeouts not quite sure how many there will be we bought them quanity unknown and we pay for them as we receive them."

Closeouts then. 24 or 240, shouldn't matter. Waiting patiently for the mailman, want one in my hand.----:D

wh4f,

Looks good.....I see some scuffs on that blade already.......
I ordered 3, giving one to my bro, one for the case, one for the hand.

That Tanto Nighthawk is nice, 653 right? I saw one on the swamp recently but missed the bid. Would like to find one.

I picked up a NIB 650 a couple of weeks ago. Black handled one. I wasn't intending to take my Buck collecting in this direction, but these Nighthawks are growing on me.

Scuffs on the blade are from that plastic insert that keeps the edge from cutting up the sheath. It's pretty tight.

The scuffs on mine are from chopping up a 2X4 last night and then making my recycling pile smaller for the trash man ;)

Although I must say it did have some scuffs in the finish just from removing it from the sheath ;) They were made to use!
Now only if we had feral hogs up here :D

The finish on these is almost bulletproof as well. The 650 has had the tar beat out of it, and shes still pretty black.

The 653 Tanto isn't a user...YET!!!!!! She just came out of the USPS box tonight ;) The only bummer on this one (to me) is the large area of serrations...

Chopping a 2x4....right out of the box------you're an animal!

Well, mine showed up, niiiiicccccceeeee.......:thumbup::thumbup:....

Mine hopefully will be here tomorrow, that same seller put up some 111 with NS bolsters, so now I have one of those coming to!

So....what's the diff. between the 111 and the 110? I looked at Buck.com and can't find the 111 listed. From the swamp descrip. it looks to be the same dimensions as the 110.....is it the NS that makes it a 111?

Sweet knife....a couple left.....hmmmm......

Mine should be here tomorrow!!!! My first "TAC" Buck.....When Buck first offered it I almost bought...Now Im glad I waited. One of the joys of collecting is finding a coooool Buck at a bargin price...Now is it or is it not the longest, biggest, heavest regular production Buck ever made???????????? Is the ribbon cutting simatare [sic] bigger??? I am not sure if my 651 will be my TRUCK BUCK or not.....But I sure am glad I got one...

the 111 was only a cat-o-log production knife for a short while
now it is mainly for order by retailers like SMK ect...
except for curve shape of inlay to bolsters
it is twin to the 111..
after much thought i have classiffied all my large lock back knives as
"FOLDING HUNTERS"
and verrantants such as the clasic 111 the Ti 186, the new 111 and the buck-lite famley..
all that have a interchangeable blade with the 110 are folding hunters
that was the first name before they stole the 110 from what is now the 103.
seems it did not get a number for something like over a year..
but has always been the folding hunter...
same logic applys to the ranger...
any thing the ranger blade fits in any format is a ranger..
jest my crack pot thoughts!
agree or not!
now how is this for a hijack thread?

Me to, I mainly collect 110's, but I consider any Buck that a 110 blade will fit in and a 110 variation and go for those also.

Would love to see the return of the 426!
