That indeed is interesting WW, however the problem I see with it is most knifemakers whos already have waiting lists are not prone to go out and look for those kinda projects. It may attract a type that has no business making a knife in the first place. For example, you post something up and say who wants to do it. I promise you Jerry Fisk, Don Hanson, or Ed Fowler arent going to step up. That might be a extreme example but my point is. If a knife maker is scrounging for work, theres probably a good reason. I may be wrong, thats just my 2 cents. I would suggest you contact a maker whos reputable, and whos work you like, then present him your design. If he cant or wont do it go to the next.
Anyone ever have absolutely sh!t days for no apparent reason? Spent the whole day feeling stressed and pissed off despite the fact that the most I did today was get a haircut...

Bad days happen, the older you get the more of them you'll see too.
I think there should be a dedicated section on the board where you could ask custom makers to make a knife you designed...
Im surprised this doesnt already exist really.
Thats a very good point Todd. I hadn't even considered that but your right. And thats probably why it doesnt exist lol
inneresting.
I get fewer.
Though Sunday Blues persist.
EGAD, Todd!
Hire out that puppy as a therapy dog and take an evening off!
(waitaminute, maybe if I worked that hard I'd be a successful knifemaker too...)
That's a fantastic idea! In fact, it does already exist, and has for some time. If you had scrolled down one more click from the Services Offered subforum, you would have found Wanted: Knifemaker / Craftsman / Related Services
Then again, there are already some pretty awesome knifemakers right here in the Becker forum, so why would you need to look elsewhere? Hmmmm?
I thought i seen that before. I was looking forever, not sure how i missed it. Doesnt look like it gets used... Unless only knife makers can even see the threads.
No worries bubba, you are joining an elite group called "Man." Ok, it isn't so elite but yeah. We all have those days some will take the day and get drunk at 8am, some will grin and bear it, some will go to a shooting range and blow off steam, some will go crazy and climb a bell tower and shoot 16 people at university. I suggest the grin and bear it method and just remember that was yesterday. What happened yesterday is done and it will have no impact on what happens tomorrow. Unless of course you do something like the bell tower scenario, that will affect tomorrow.Anyone ever have absolutely sh!t days for no apparent reason? I dunno about MORE of them but they certainly happen. It's actually been scientifically proven that men do get hormonal shifts in their systems monthly. I wouldn't call it PMS but for lack of a better term it does cover it.LMAO, YES!! I have days like that as well. My wife says its my PMS days.

So, we figured out why I can't sleep... I always wondered! Thanks! As they say "A rolling stone gathers no moss" or maybe more so in my case. No rest for the wicked. At least Im helping out my buddy and its a honest living.
No, you're not allowed to work that hard! It takes me forever already to get your knives!(waitaminute, maybe if I worked that hard I'd be a successful knifemaker too...)
As it stands now, I work every day at my day job, work second shift for him Mon. Tues. work second shift making knives Wen. Thurs. Take Fri. night off. work 16 hours Saturday. 8 for him. 8 for knives. then work 12 hours making knives on Sunday. Doesnt look like Im going to see the light of day up until the Blade show.:grumpy: At least Im helping out my buddy and its a honest living.
Cool bead. The Vantage pic makes me crazy...mine has gone missing, somehow. I carried some Kershaws for a few days and now the Buck has disappeared. I think the KAI fairies came into my house and absconded with it.
