One of y'all from up north post a "fire on a cool evening" picture. Those of us holding in the air conditioning would be jealous to see one. At least I would.

And by "cool evening," I mean something under 80° F.

That’s the most important thing, as long as nobody was hurt.

spent the afternoon and evening building railings on the front porch and access ramp.
used a knife for some of the trim work, but not a becker.
We worked on the carport yesterday morning for just a few hours. Big rain front moving in, so we stopped. Of course, that system broke up before it got here.

We started splitting wood this morning but a storm rolled in and got us soaked so we stopped put things away and got cleaned up ... only to find it had passed in about an hour ... but since we had called off the work day ...

I declared a day of leisure and filled the cooler with ice and we went to the lake. I remembered to grab my camera to finally take a few pictures to share ... but silly me ... it had been longer than I thought since it had been used and the batteries were dead. And I left my phone in the truck on purpose so I'd have a nice quiet day ... so no pictures. insert boos here ...

But beer was drank and skin tanned and there was laughter shared watching the young'ns run about and play in the water. And burgers and hot dogs and tators with onions and butter in foil were mighty tasty from the grill. Did I mention there was beer?

And there were a few sharp pointy objects used to help make it all possible ... and challenges were thrown at one another ... my brother may or may not have gotten the KING to cut a beer in half cleanly ... on the third and final attempt (I wasn't gonna let him waste anymore precious nectar).

So it turned out ... a short rain storm on Sunday morning for the win!

What did you get??? A 23?

62. Since i enjoy the bk62, it seems like a good number.

i got the unicorn ivory. Its more cream than i was expecting. The side opposite the shield has really nice pattern.

I considered grabbing a 23 with the linerlock from that popular auction site instead. 62 won me over though.
