Noblie Custom Knives – New Handcrafted Folders, Fixed Blades & Engraved Art Knives

Mosaic Damascus Knife – Feather Pattern | Noblie Custom Knives

Sharing one of the recent builds from Noblie Custom Knives.
Blade is forged from mosaic Damascus in a feather pattern. Handle is polished Arizona desert ironwood with a stabilized mammoth tooth insert. Titanium bolster for strength and contrast.

The knife is a take-down construction, held together by a central screw – a custom screwdriver is included for assembly and disassembly. Sheath is made from vegetable-tanned leather.

This piece has already been sold, but I thought some here might appreciate the craftsmanship and details.

Review: Noblie Custom Knives One-Off Dragonskin Damascus Folder

Hey folks — Aleks here. I just wrapped up this pocket folder and wanted to share a quick review.

  • Blade: Dragonskin Damascus, 62 HRC
  • Handle: in-house crystallized titanium, deep-etched and anodized to a complex copper–gold tone that shifts in the light
  • Clip: titanium with laser engraving
  • Pivot: rides on bearings for a smooth, clean action
  • Edition: one-of-one
In hand it’s unusual and striking—lots of texture and color play, smooth flip, solid lock-up. Happy to answer questions or post more pics. Thanks for looking!

Good looking pattern...👍👍👍

Sharing a dagger-style folding knife from Noblie Custom Knives. The blade is laminated steel, and the handle is made from crystallized Timascus.

Custom Knives — studio group shot: Damascus, scrimshaw & Ti folders (most by Noblie; right-most by Herman)
Sharing a clean studio group shot for discussion (photo attached). Almost all of these are from my bench at Noblie Custom Knives; the folder on the far right is by Herman.
I’d love the community’s take on a few things (not a sales thread—no prices/links):

  • For real use, do you prefer mono-steel over etched/pattern-welded blades? Any downsides you’ve seen with deep etch (food release, corrosion, maintenance)?
  • Scrimshaw & heavy engraving on a user: tasteful or too precious for the field?
  • Titanium finishes: anodized vs. “crystallized”/heat-colored—how do they wear in pocket? Any touch-up tips?
  • Which blade/handle geometry here looks most practical to you, and why?
Build notes (brief): pattern-welded/Damasteel/laminated steels; Ti, wood, and engraved hardware; hand grinding/polish; engraving and inlay work under the scope. HRC varies by blade (approx. 60–62 where applicable).
Constructive critique welcome. https://nobliecustomknives.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/custom-knives.jpg

New Custom Folder – Damasteel Blade, 63 HRC | Noblie Custom Knives

Hey folks,
just finished this one in the workshop and thought I’d share a few shots.
This piece features a Damasteel blade hardened to 63 HRC, with that clean, tight pattern we all love seeing under good light. The action came out silky – riding on our tuned ceramic bearing system.
Handle is titanium, anodized in two tones for some depth — shifting between bronze and violet depending on the angle. Hardware follows the same color palette, including the sculpted titanium clip and pivot collar.
Everything’s been hand-fitted, finished, and tuned for that solid lock-up and drop-shut feel.
Always open to feedback and impressions from the community.
Thanks for taking a look!
