Maybe Valet is the only folding knife that doesn't come with a bag. Blue marks embedded in the scale. Sold as NIB.

By seeing the pictures of the knives that were sent.,..You bet I would be
returning them ASAP...Sellers problem..Not the buyers..He didnt get what he paid for.

Im as so DONE with people that get their money and simply wash their hands of the deal.
I am hoping with changes that are here in BF ..The INFRACTIONS or Banning people that blatantly fleece PayPal and LIE get BANNED...This is an epidemic..

Buyer, you didn't buy anything, remember that. Take it as a lesson learned. What makes this community great is the wealth of knowledge. Had you taken advantage of that knowledge you would understand that stand up member never use gift. You gave this dude some money and he gave you some knives, one of which didn't get there. If a friend gave you a gift of three knives and one was lost in the mail would you ask that friend to send you another knife? Nope. That is essentially what you are asking. Think about it and Deal.

Seller is absolutely overall in the wrong here. Paypal gift is a scam and this situation is why. Not shipping that amount of value in a box, insured, and with sig confirmation is just insane. I can see why he is no longer a dealer. Ignore.

This simply leads me to believe it was intentional. The knife community is small, incidents like this spread quickly and fierce.
Again sir, I ask you make some type of effort to resolve. Not for just my sake, but yours as well.
This is my last comment in regards to this very embarrassing post. I thank you all for confirming my poor decisions, I've learned a great lesson. Next time the neighbor stops by and asks for help, I still will, just charge a 3.5 percent fee.

Unfortunately or fortunately, it may be done. No resolution attempts made by Nomadik, no communication. I believe he threw three knives in the respective boxes into the bubble mailer, pulled the sticky tape and sent it.. Why it couldn't be anything besides the 484-1..tsk.
I found another online through social media yesterday, a listed price of $200 even. I said, "I'll take it" as a common formality here, only to be responded with, "what do you have to trade"...ugh.

I keep educated here in the GBU; but I didn't even know this place existed for the first year and a half I spent on this forum. I'm thinking a lot of newbies here to BF's, are in the same boat. They're here to buy knives and enjoy this passion- probably not thinking about being scammed by seller's like, nomadik.

And FWIW: this never would've happened to me! Nomadik sells using the PP F&F option, so he can get away with his thievery. I use PP's buyer's protection, when I buy Goods.

Regardless- if nomadik is allowed to just continue with his same M.O., selling knives here, how many more unnecessary victims need to be added to this list?

Maybe that was a poor suggestion in my previous post. How about putting this guy (nomadik), in the Hall of Shame, if he continues to conveniently ignore this big ugly mess he helped create?

Sellers have every right to demand F&F payments, just like buyers have every right to avoid those sellers who demand F&F payment. If we put everybody who asked for F&F payments into the hall of shame it would be an unwieldy mess of names that would lessen the true scumbags already occupying it, since there are many sellers who use F&F or at least give it as an option.

I don't buy from folks who ask for F&F, and I would like to see everybody else do the same, but your attack of nomadik because he asked for F&F is blowing the situation well out of proportion and it makes you look silly.

Sorry for your misfortune. PayPal makes clear that there is no recourse for you if you buy something via F&F and get scammed, it truly is not for purchases but for gifts between Friends and Family that you trust. This wound will sting for sure, all you can do is make sure you don't make the same mistake again.

ohno505 neither of us have been around here terribly long, but you were a stand-up guy in our transaction--thanks again. In spite of an overabundance of caution, I still fear getting caught up in something like this, regardless of fault (seller, shipper, act of god, etc.). In my case, I've only missed out on some beauties due to hesitancy. (They taunt me at night--LOL!)

I hope there's an amicable way to get things straightened out.

EDit to add: I still fear messes even in spite of always using G&S I had some good mentors early on, then lerked for a few months before jumpin in!

No they don't. They are defrauding Paypal in every sense of that word, including the legal sense. It's mind boggling to me that BF allows it at all. It's the one thing about this place that is disreputable. But what the heck, I'm not Spark and I can't change it.

I haven't handled a Loco. I seen them come up for his asking price often. Aesthetically its not super sexy to me. I think I'll make a legitimate offer. Any feedback or opinion on the Loco, I'm all ears. I'll make sure to add how it should be packed and how to obtain insurance in my offer.
Bottom line, and Nomadick knows it, there is nothing I can do. There is nothing.
I didn't note rhe damaged packing to the mailman, I had 9 packages that day. I paid F&F, knowingly, Friends and Family, as I was naive in perception. He did nothing wrong other than a shotty package, and not insure it, or even make a claim for the automatic insurance standard with priority mail, which would recover $50 to me. .
I would ask the Mods if they find this behaviour just, to move his posting to the Dealer Thread. His postage is retail, his social media leads to retail, and the repetitive posts with the same knives looks very retail.
I'm going to offer $140 on the Loco.
