Northwoods 15?

The peppering on the Ivory (oops corrected....undyed camel bone) is terrific...."undyed and flawed" is a great way to describe these covers Perry and really makes a traditional slipjoint, traditional. I ordered a camel blue with variegated coloring with some brownish hues. Like a noob, I didn't make a copy of the pic to drool over until the knife actually arrives. Looking forward to get my first Northwood and a #15

Perry, that one is a beauty. It has a lot of character right out of the box. It can only get better from here on. Congrats on a nice one brother.

Hey Steve, just to clarify, mine isn't ivory but undyed camel bone. But thank you, I also ordered a blue with quite a few different colors in it, the more colors, the better!

Hey thanks Bob! She's a little smallish for that big Northwoods pocket slip but luckily I have the perfect slip already, the one Barry made for me.:D

I saw that slip in your picture and immediately thought how well they complimented each other, very nice!

Rustic is a great way to say it and thank you Dean! Thanks Jamie! Well FW JSB, more for me.:D Quality is very high on these, Derrick and thank you for the great SFO!:thumbup::thumbup:

Have at 'em. :D I just don't think they're made any better than the GEC's I have, but they always seem to cost more. Made by the same company, no? Regardless, this is a very handsome knife, no doubt about it.

Yes, they are made by the same company, but they typically have premium materials used in the final product. Thicker blades, blade style not available on standard GEC's, and premium cover materials. Then Derrick throws in the pocket slip. So overall, I'd say they are right on par price wise with the GEc lineup after you factor in the premiums.

Northwoods are a great treat in the traditional knife world.

Like that soda or candy that you only got while on vacation as a kid :)

They don't come around to often, but when they do... boy are they a treat and worth it IMO.

Thanks for these Derrick!

Looks like we did, David. From what I've seen thus far, many have flush at all points blade placement and good centering. This is an added bonus on top of all the things Bob already mentioned. Now, do I buy the Ivory or wait to see those blacks when they show? Very true Jon! These seem like instant classics to me.

I've ejoyed handling mine today. It feels sleek yet substantial. I may have to add a pinch of pepper to mine. I like the look of Perry's knife.

Agreed on all counts.

Although it seems like I may be the only one that has one a little proud at half stop...

I too am very interested to see the black!
Thank you TX planes! It's rare for me to get a knife site unseen that I would've picked out if seen in person but this time it worked.
